Preview of Estate Sale and Meet this Artist....

Hey There! I hope you had a good weekend! What did you do? I have been trying to mark some items off of my list of things to get done around my home.
I have been painting away. I am painting the entire first floor of my home. Myself. Ummhmm. Lets just say, I am considering buying stock in one ibuprofen company. I got alot done this weekend though. Most of the walls have new color on them, now it's just the more tedious job of taping off for trim and molding work. I cannot wait for it to be complete. Maybe then I will have some friends over without worrying about how badly my walls look like something from a pre-school room.
On Saturday I went to Mississippi to once again assist my friend, Diva in preparing for the estate sale of her mother's home. You can click on this web site for the latest information about the sale, complete with a list of items featured (many pictures). It may just be worth the trip to get in the car and go. Here are some pictures that I took:

I can certainly recommend a great place to eat on your way out of town. That would be Cresent City Grill. We always go and eat lunch there when in Meridian and Saturday was no different.

I ordered the above tossed salad and added Gorgonzola cheese and chopped pecans to it. With the creole dressing on the side....to die for and have been craving it ever since.

Diva ordered the Fish of the day, fresh catch blackened with jubilee of artichoke hearts and mushrooms over top. It came with a side of potatoes augratin. Ahh, man!
Yes, I know what you are thinking...."Some good eating!" So load up and come on over for some great bargains and good eating on August 7 & 8th in Meridian Mississippi.

I am planning a trip down south next week for some family time. Fairhope will certainly be on my list of places to stop. I recently wrote about Christine Linson, an artist in Fairhope, for Alabama Bloggers. Christine's story os a love story, she feel in love with Fairhope the first time she went. After being in Ohio all of her life and working with high profile clients in the artworld, she made the change and moved to Fairhope with no regrets. In fact she has a thriving business in Fairhope. She paints some beautiful scenes of some of my favorite Alabama places. Drop by Alabama Bloggers for more on Christine and her art.
I can't wait to hear about your weekend. Leave me a roadmap to your place.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Crescent City is an all time fave for us. Joe and I used to go on dates there in Hatteisburg every week! Still best cheesesticks I have ever had!

Some people are going to find some great stuff.
I bet I could find an old kitchen scale in all that which I ahve been looking for, but I don't think my husband will let me go just for that.

Would like to attend, but a little far to drive. :) We have a Crescent City restaurant in my area, don't know if owned by the same or not. I have a lot of painting to be done when you finish with yours. :-)

My mouth is watering just reading about that meal. Do you think they could air mail it to CA???

We had a quiet weekend, but our weekends are usually quiet.

I wish Diva luck with her sale:)

Goodness, it's a 8-10 hour drive for me to get there... (to the estate sale) Every time you mention it I get a rush of adrenalin. I don't know why it is that I want to go so badly - maybe it's just to see what you've been describing and the people who you know and to meet you! I'm sure it's all of it.

I think I'll have to eat at the grill :) Looks excellent!

See, I'm still thinking about it. Oooh, it's killing me! lol
