Now, Back to Silver Sunday......
I have already shared with you already the spoons that I keep them in an old caning jar atop the piece that I purchased from my friend Diva.
You might recall the story that I created about Grace and the silver spoons. Click here to jog your memory
Today I thought I would share with you, the whole silver collection in that grouping. So, you know about the spoons. The silver platters, are only a few that I own. Each one was inheirited, passed down from my paternal grandmother we well as both of my husband's grandmother's. You can see that I shine some, others are tarnished. I think it gives them some charater. I don't allow it to bother me.
The silver bowl on the pedestal was presented to my materal grandmother when she retired from teaching. It is inscribed with her name, date of retirement and the school she taught. Right now it's hiding my tin of mints inside the bowl. I have to have a hideaway from the kids. I know you do too?And finally, my sweet friend Jane gave me the silver sugar pincushion. I LOVE that thing!!!!! It reminds me of sweet Jane and her kindness, generosity and sharing spirit. It moves all over my house. But always where I can enjoy it. Thanks, Jane! Hugs!
I so appreciate you dropping by Tales from Bloggeritaville.
Have a wonderful Superbowl Sunday! I invite you to come back tomorrow. I cannot wait to show you what my daughter, Sister Sledge made this weekend for the family.
Hugs!
