Hiking the Met Trail

Saturday was a perfect day. The weather was sunny, with a ever so slight breeze. The temperature hovered near 70 degrees. When I woke up that morning, I thought we had a wrestling tournament, although that was not the case. A FREE Saturday. What to do? After ordering brunch, I suggested that we go hiking. I love to hike, it's a great family activity...and in the winter with weather as nice as it was there was no fear of snakes and ticks, just an enjoyable walk.
We drove to the Hoover Met Hiking Trail, where we had a wonderful hike. The kids enjoyed swinging on vines....and the dogs enjoyed sniffing out some new territory. Big Daddy was happy to find a free activity that the fmaily could enjoy. A great day indeed.
Here are a few snaps from our recent hike.

I had not realized how much Sister Sledge had grown this year! I could really see it in these photos! Her face is beginning to look more mature!

What a wonderful day that y'all had. Makes me want to grab my kiddos and do the same thing. I don't enjoy being in the woods when the snakes are stirring.

Jennifer- She really has hit that spurt where she is changing and becoming a little woman. She also got contacts. Sniff, sniff....my little girl. Jen you are lucky because you can go to the beach and walk. Thats my favorite place!

Keetha- Good eye! The very one! I think I have told you that Big D was born in Indiana. He lived there for 3 years before moving around (his parents were in the military). He has family that still lives there (Love y'all!). We all have some clothing article with Ball State on it. A little homage to his birth place.

Thanks J- We did. It was a perfect day and to be out in it.....thank you for the compliments!
