Doodles by Rick

I remember as a kid, getting to excited when the Sunday paper would arrive at the doorstep, packed pull of comics, waiting to be read. Those were the days when cartoons were not on TV 24-7 (in fact, they only came on Saturday's). Kids actually put their faces in books, went outside to make their own adventures, and revealed in such a simple pleasure like comics. Well, kids, you do not have to wait for the Sunday paper to get a fun comic, or "Doodle". If you haven't been to Rick's blog, Organized Doodles, then you are missing the daily doodle dose!

This doodle had my name written all over it. I almost think he had to have been peeking in our window when the inspiration for this one hit!
Rick had a giveaway over at his blog a few weeks ago...and I won! I got to pick out any one of his doodles on his site and he would send me a copy. My choice was easy....Fat Music. It

It arrived promptly. Rick even added a bit of a surprise for me, he colored in my doodle, sending me a colored copy and a B&W.
I had it framed and now it sits in all is glory. Although, I had to use my daughter's camera for photographing it, so it appears grainy. My apologies! The actual "doodle" is an art piece. I LOVE it!
I can almost hear the blues piping through that brass when I look at it.

Be sure to check out Rick's blog, pick up a doodle for yourself to use, for free, because he is nice like that. And if you would like a hard copy, his pricing is very reasonable. He really just loves what he doodles.
While you are there, be sure to look at what my friend, Beach Kat ordered for her husband for Christmas. Rick can make an occasion special be custom doodling a special gift, one that will be remembered forever. May I suggest Rick to make a custom doodle for Valentine's day for your sweetie....or think ahead to Mother's Day, Father's Day, Birthday, Anniversary....of "just because".
To Rick:
Rick, I have to sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart! I received my "doodle" (which is so much more than a "doodle") of "Fat Music." I LOVE it. Adore it. And I love that you added even more character by coloring it in. It rocks! Rick, I truly love it. It has a good home, I can assure you. I will treasure it always. Thank you so much for the opportunity and for hosting the giveaway. Leigh

Wow! My own mother couldn't have written a nicer post. Thank you Leigh. It almost amazes me how nice a frame makes my doodles look.

I very glad that you like it. Very glad to make a new blogging friend.

Stay Tooned,

Rick

Isn't Rick amazing?! George is still thrilled with his and was actually showing it off again last night. It seems each time we have someone new in the house, he has to show them. Too funny, but it makes me feel good to know he truly loves it. I love your doodle too. It has so much personality. Congrats on winning such a wonderful gift.

Hugs!
Kat
