Word is out on the streets of Helena. And it's a double edged sword. I decided to stop in at Home Plate Cooking for my family's meal tonight. Owner, Kay Brashier, told me that she had made eleven pot roast and that all were gone. This was at 4pm! Dang! I am thrilled for Kay, that her business is off to a very successful start!Instead of pot roast, my family dug into (Momma would be jealous)chicken and dressing, sinfully delicious mac and cheese, homecooked green beans with new potatoes (shhh, I also got a loaf of sour dough bread, though my family doesn't know it! To good to share.). I also got a bag of the spicy pretzels. Spicy! Right up mine and Big Daddy's alley! Everything was delicious as always. I hate I cannot post pictures (sad tragedy to the camera!). Words do not do her food justice! This lady is as talented as momma in the kitchen (well, almost, MOM!)! Kay mentioned that one day she would like to open a restaurant. She wanted to see how the "pick up window " would do first. Seems it won't be long before she is greeting and seating! I can't wait!

What a great idea for her to do a takeout thing!! I'd totally do that if I lived there...
The pot roast was soooo good! Just kidding. BTW I saw her at Publix buying a ton of stuff. Everybody was wondering why this woman was buying out the store :)
Dang you Hewy! She mentioned you when I saw her. (LOL!) Her food is definately fresh and ooooo so good!
