Thrifty Thursday #104, Plus a Tablescape

(Mr McLinky has been having issues this week. I got an email from Brett, site owner about it.:

The new thumbnail server is online and sometime after midnight I'm going to turn it on. There will be no interruption in service, it is immediate.IMPORTANT NOTE: there are over ONE MILLION thumbnails I'm having to copy over to the new server. I started by copying the NEWEST TEN DAYS worth first. Now I'm copying over all the others. About 600,000 have been copied and there are still 400,000+ still copying over. It will take the rest of the night and probably some of tomorrow. If you notice missing thumbnails on your older lists, please be patient tomorrow while they finish transferring from the old server to the new. From all my initial tests, this new server really looks like it's going to do the trick. The website and database work will be done on one server, and the storage and delivery of the thumbnails are the ONLY thing this new server is handling. Other than the images copying over, if you see anything else of concern, let me know and I'll jump right on it. Thanks so much for all your kind encouragement while I got this new server set up. I REALLY appreciate it!
Best wishes,
Brent

Hi! It's Thrifty Thursday! I am your host, Leigh. Thank you so much for stopping by and additional thanks to those who also participate in Thrifty Thursday! I am most delighted to have you join in..for it's YOU who makes it a "show and tell party". I also participate in Tablescape Thursday the host of that fun carnival is the Hostess with the Mostess...Susan of Between Naps on the Backporch. That's no lie or exaggeration, each week I visit Susan's porch and just long to be a guest at any of her tablescapes...especially those held on the porch.

(You can click on any pictures for a closer view)

*Thrifty Thursday takes place each Thursday and is hosted here at Tales from Bloggeritaville, but the party is a progressive one, visit the links to see all the Thrifty Thursday links to see the thrifty treasures participating bloggers have to share.

*Don't forget to copy and paste the Thrifty Thursday logo button to your computer so you can add it to your side bar and your Thrifty Thursday post. That way visitors will know that your are participating in Thrifty Thursday.

This week I made my way to a couple thrift stores and found two nice quilts. Each quilt was basically $10.00.
The first one is a twin size quilt. I don't own a twin bed, but it makes a perfect throw for the living room. Every night all of us pile up on the sofa with a blanket. This one will be perfect. It's already broken in and so very, very soft. And just look at the colors:

I adore the vintage look.
The other quilt was one of those "meant to be" things. My teen daughter requested a zebra print quilt this weekend. Well....today we happened upon this queen size quilt was priced for $9.00.

"And it has pink too!" Sister Sledge wants to point out.
I don't know how she will work this into her room, but I will show you when she has everything in place.

This Thursday I am joining in Tablescape Thursday , hosted by Between Naps on the Porch.

wow- what a difference between the vintage and the zebra styles!
You must have been sending out a quilt vibe and the thrifting universe aimed to please.
I look forward to seeing how they are used.

Wow, that was such an incredibly low price for each of those quilts. I'm sure your daughter is thrilled to have her "zebra-print" quilt. ;)

Thanks for hosting, Leigh. I would love to have you join me for my party. And it would be great to have you link your humor to my "Funny Faux Pas Follies" - starting this Friday.

Blessings,

I love the quilts, and I'm amazed you found the zebra one so quickly. I can't imagine that I would ever see one thrifting. But now that I've said that, I'll probably see one tomorrow, lol. Thanks for hosting.
