Ice! Ice! Baby!

Another snow incident in the south?
Why yes! And this one is preceded by ice.

Lots of ice.

Still hoping for snow. In the meantime I have been doing much of this.

And snuggling with loved ones.
We are roasting marshmallows and drinking hot cocoa by the fire.

And managing to stay warm the best we can.

We've got plenty of wood.

And have got Taco Soup in the crock. and Momma's cornbread too.

Sled on over and have a bowl! And in any case....stay warm my Bloggeritaville friends!

XOXO,
Leigh

Hey Leigh! It's so good to be out and about blogland again. Thanks for coming by while I was "cooped up"! You always lilft my spirits! So, when life hands you ice, are we supposed to make ice cream or margarita's? Hmm...I do like the idea of hot chocolate and marshmallows better anyway.

I love the rare days when we can just curl up on the sofa and watch the fire burn. Mmmm...soup bubbling, fire crackling and a loved one - even the dog - curled up next to me. Pure bliss! (I had Hurley cuddled and cozy with me this afternoon...ahh.)
Stay warm...
Jane (artfully graced)

ps Hope your son got safely back to Tuscaloosa.

Yuck! It's so cold here - yesterday it was 0 degrees when I left for work, today it's 3.
Your fire looks wonderful!

yum...taco soup. You know, if we lived closer, Sean and I would have been at your door getting Jack up this morning!! Sean found great fun this morning on the ice!

All of the above is why I LOVE winter so - - - especially the cozying up before the fire part.

It's freezing here in Ohio too and I'd love to have a roaring fire going. I do have a large wood stove, but it's in an awkward spot right here beside my computer. Don't think the heat that close would work well.

Looks warm and cozy at your house.
We got 4 or 5 ins. of snow and I could have gone all Winter without any.
Enjoy your week.

That is the best way to spend a cold day. There is just nothing like a nice fireplace to cozy up to .I will have to be honest though I am pretty much ready for the snow to be gone and Spring to be here!
