Open House-The Den/Living Area

Yesterday I shared with you my motivation for getting my home in order (Big Daddy's 40th birthday party). Today I thought I would share with you my living room space. This, as in my entire home is a thrifty work in progress. Much of my decor has either been given to me (inheirited), or bought for pennies at yard sales, consignment sales and thrift store.
This is the corner of my den area.

The mirror was a gift from Tom's grandparents. It was a gift to them a very very long time ago, a 25th wedding anniversary gift. They have since gone well over 50 years of married bliss.
The chair is a barrel back chair, a gift from my cousin Becky. It once belonged to her MIL.
I made the coffee sack ottoman.
The table I shared in an earlier thrifty Thursday (here)  a gift I had made for Big Daddy.

See my latest Thrifty find? I purchased 2 lamps this week at the thrift for $6.88.
The rosearies belonged to Big Daddy's grandmother.

My pottery. Some pieces were given to me by my cousin Becky (that on the lower shelf). Love my pottery!

Here is a look at our big eye sore. Ok it's my eye sore. It's Big Daddy's crowning jewel our home...the tv. But look beyond that and you can see my love for the sea.

Items found on beach walks: shells, driftwood....I'll allow you to look around for yourself at my little finds.

I hope you have enjoyed you time here today.

Join metoday for my Outdoor Wenesday post over at my Picture a Day blog. Check out the finds I got and the beautiful things I got to see on my day spent with my friend High Mae.

And come back on Thursday for Thrifty Thursday, where I will share with you moreon my open house tour.

I love that room! You've done such a beautiful job.

I don't want to give a party, but I need a little kick to get me started doing house stuff!
