A Place Remembered

There is a charming French Country Boutique that specializes in home accents, fine linens, magnificent bridal gifts, imaginative garden accessories and fabulous keepsakes.  But you're in luck....you need not travel to the French countryside to take it all in. Join me, as we take a look around "A Place Remembered" located far from the French countryside in Fairhope, Alabama.

Come on in! (You can click any photo for a close look)

I love browsing through the store to not only find great items, but also great ideas to incorporate into my own home. I love that old weathered window frame above the bed. A mirrored back makes it a functional piece as well.

Take a look at how the bookcase becomes a custom piece with the addition of screened shutters that close off the inside of the case when you don't want things in plain view. The green shutter on the floor also has a mirror added to the top for a functional piece of art.

The beautiful colums below were made into a bed frame.
I love that they were kept chipppy and full of character!
And while we are discussing the bed....don't you just want to dive right in under those covers? Dreamy!

I love the sailor knoted balls of twine!

The grapevine chandelier is magical! And I beleive could be recreated with just this inspirational photo!

And look, just what I need for my kitchen! The sign that reads lost shaker of salt!
You can find lots of inspiration at A Place Remebered! You can also visit online by clicking HERE.

I adore the sailor knots. They can be quite useful too as door stoppers or bookends!

All I can say is - I've been there! I've been there!! It's a neat little town that I didn't get to spend quite enough time in when I was there.

I lost my internet connection in the middle of my comment on the above post. I don't know if it went through or not.

I have to go to Fairhope tomorrow and on Saturday (Jubilee Music). I may drop into A Place Remembered. It sounds wonderful!
