Thrifty Thursday # 36, Plus a Tablescape

Hi! It's Thrifty Thursday! Woot! I am your host, Leigh. Thank you so much for stopping by and additional thanks to those who also participate in Thrifty Thursday! I am most delighted to have you join in..for it's YOU who makes it a "show and tell party". I also participate in Tablescape Thursday the host of that fun carnival is the Hostess with the Mostess...Susan of Between Naps on the Backporch. That's no lie or exaggeration, each week I visit Susan's porch and just long to be a guest at any of her tablescapes...especially those held on the porch.

*If you do not know what Thrifty Thursday is or need more info on Thrifty Thursday you can go here.*Don't forget to copy and paste the Thrifty Thursday logo button to your computer so you can add it to your side bar and your Thrifty Thursday post. *Please do not add your link below until your Thrifty Thursday post is actually published to your blog.

Now onto Thrifty Thursday! Yesterday I made a quick stop by The Dollar Tree in search of those cute bird tea light holders that so many of you have been using in your tablescapes. I couldn't find any. But I did find some other thrifty finds...

My youngest son, "J.Smooth" is obsessed with knights. I picked up two "suits" of knight  armor.
It's already being put to good use.

There are fortresses to be won over, ya know. Somethings just can't wait for Halloween.

Hmm, I wonder if he will take on the mound of laundry in the living room that awaits folding?
It's really a monster!
At Doller Tree, I also found some cute little knick nacks for my Halloween display.

The pumpkins, the crows, and the plaque all came from The Dollar Tree.

The skull came from the thrift store for 50 cents, but I saw plenty of those at The Dollar Tree too.
My foiled pumpkin dude was a Cracker Barrell clearance item last year. I think I paid $3.00 for it.

Dinner anyone?

A few weeks ago I paid a visit to Consigning Interiors in Pelham and picked up this tiny cloche with real acorns for $3.00.

Excuse the laundry in the background (The pink tshirt), I told you it was piled up.

Tablescape Thursday is going on today too!!

Tablescape is hosted by the lovely, Susan of Between Naps on the Porch.. She really is a tablescape hero in my book. I could never come up with differnt tablescapes week after week. I am not that creative. If I ever have any ideas, they come from all of you....or by window shopping or looking through magazines.
Some of you mentioned last week that AT HOME (where many of the tablescapes the last couple weeks have been from)  does not have  online shopping. I hate that, but I would suggest calling the store if you see something that interest you. I am sure that they can help you with it and their prices are very reasonable. Good Luck!
Back to the tablescape...
Today's Tablescape is all AT HOME. I cheated. This is actually their display of white pottery style dishes.

Aren't they beautiful? And I love those burlap placemats. Seriously, when is At Home going to start giving me royalties for showcasing their wares? I so love that place!
Speaking of tablescapes... What is a tablescape without the food? I invite you to stop by my food blog, PLATES & PLACES, tomorrow for Foodie Friday! And tomorrow in Bloggeritaville, I have things to share! My sweet blogger friend, Swampgirl, sent me something really cool. It came in a HUGE box! I will share with you tomorrow what was inside!
I want to dish out some link love today to two bloggy friends...

Sarah, over at A Beach Cottage is having a great giveaway. Coastal Pillows!!! They would be perfect in my home, but if I can't win, I hope you do. Drop by and enter her giveaway, and please tell her that you heard it here in Tales from Bloggeritaville. Many Thanks!

Rachel of Alabama Blogger posted my review on Bayside Grill in Orange Beach, so scott over and check it out. I highly recommend dining there, it's a perfect place for a date night.
Thanks to all of you for stopping by and participating in today's Thrifty Thursday. Please use Mr. Linky below to link up your blog.I encourage you all to spread the love and visit the other thrifty Thursday participants, for that's what half the fun is. Aside from seeing a cool treasure it's making friends!

Speaking of friends...I have 13 new followers sign up to Bloggeritaville yesterday!!!! I want to thank you if you are a follower of Tales from Bloggeritaville. I am so appreciative of that!!! If you aren't, then what's stopping you? Join me in the fun and become a Bloggeritaville friend. I couldn't be happier to have you! Many Thanks!

Sincere Appreciation to Y'all! Spread the LOVE! And as for me...there is STILL that pile of laundry waiting. It's not going to get folded by itself. I hope to be by your place soon!

Leigh,

I am so sorry I didn't join TT with you this Thursday. I have found some fantastic things at the lake at a consignment shop. I am in Fall Y'All today and tablescapes so it would have been impossible. NEXT WEEK!!

Your scary fall vignettes are terrific!! Love how you put it together. I did that sort of thing for the kids when they were young and they loved it. I used to have THE biggest Halloween parties after trick or treating, for young and old!! ;-)

Your pretty fall things look great too. Don't worry about the laundry. I can give you great tips on hiding it...

I did try to see if At Home was online!! duh! But I do love their tablescape. Very modern take on white dishes!! Heavenly!!

I will see you next week, girlfriend!

xoxo

Nice finds at Dollar Tree for your son's costume. Did not have a Thrifty Treasure to post about today - wished I did. Don't worry about the laundry - that is "Real Life", and I have lots of that going on right now. My dining area looks like a storm came thru. Sorry - but the menu does not look very good! :-) I had Cracker Barrel takeout - enough for leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

I went to the Dollar Store for the first time in a long time last week (mainly because I kept reading about all the great stuff bloggers were finding)...Dollar Store for me became $25.00 Dollar Store!!! But I came out with some fun stuff for the holidays. Sorry I can't join the party this week....trying to get my projects for the craft show finished...I'm taking a break just to check in with my favorites!! Next week I'll be in FL so I'll be back posting in a couple of weeks.

I cannot find these great decorations at our Dollar Tree. I used to have to go to the next town to find cute things. You would think they all carry the same thing.
The tablescape is adorable (even if you cheated)! :)
Thanks for sharing!
Living it up at Lakewood,
