This week, I have a few thrifty treasures to share....
At Treasures Consignment Store (Pelham, Alabama), I purchased these Ugg boots for $7.00.

No, not overwhelmingly cute, but COMFY! Incredibly comfy! This UGG® Australia’s original heritage style is  the Classic Short a calf height boot and features genuine twin-face sheepskin, a soft foam insole covered with genuine sheepskin. Retail cost would be $120.00 so while comfy under foot it makes my wallet comfy too! Did I mention how comfy? Now I understand the rage.
My friend, Diva, gave me these early reader books from her mother's estate-free. I love old books, and these have earned a place on my desk! I have them tied together with twine. Think Little House in the Prarie.

Today is also Tablescape Thursday hosted by the lovely, Susan of Between Naps on the Porch..
My tablescape today is one with an Japanese meets Indian theme. The plates, definantly an Japanese style but the colors remind me so much of something you would find in Arizona, the colors, the texture, the artist feel such as pottery. So whether I am serving up some vegatable soup with cornbread or some Mizo soup with fried rice, this tablescape would be fitting.

These little dipping sauce bowls, however, are certainly Aperfect for Japanese sauces!
The place mat is bamboo.

All of my dishes can be found and purchased AT Home.
I invite you to stop by my food blog tomorrow for Foodie Friday!
I sincerely thank each of you for the well wishes this week. I am still a bit "horse" in my speech, but getting better everyday!
Thanks to all of you for stopping by and participating in today's Thrifty Thursday. Not cute? You are talking to an Ugg addict here! We love having our feet toasty and warm, especially in the winter...that was the bargain of the century. I love those dishes...so much that we actually have a set. I always think that I should take them out for an Asian meal...sushi or Chinese food, but I always forget. They look very pretty in your setting.

Love the colours in your dishes! You are right, they do remind me of Southwestern colours even though they are Asian. Nice that you can get more use out of them if you think outside the box!

Leigh -- yes those UGGS are UGly, but OH MAN I would love a pair of those. Heck, I can take the teasing from my girls.

Love the old books, too.

Now -- about that table setting. Those dishes are stunning. No, I mean I am stunned! They are fabulous -- completely gorgeous. Color, texture, everything -- I'd eat grass clippings off those plates.
Thanks!
Cass

Great price on the boots!

Those books are precious. The drawing on the front of the blue one reminds me of "Little Bear" by Maurice Sendek. My favorite kids series!

Finally clicked on the rest of your profile. Wonderful story!
Have a great weekend

Hello you!!

Other than the bamboo place mat, I would have thought the dishes were of a Southwestern theme. Very nice!!

$7.00 Ugg boots. You put me to shame!

What a delightful table. Love the blue of the dishes and together with the bamboo placemats you have a terrific look. Thanks for sharing. I'm late getting to TT post this week and didn't get around to sharing one of my own. I'm beginning to pull out some fall decorations and hope to post a table this week. ~ Sarah
