Life has been crazy for me lately, as it is for most mom's. As school begins to wind down, it seems the calendar continues to book up with parties, sports events, celebrations. It doesn't make sense but it does happen. The biggest event for us, taking place in less than two weeks will be the high school graduation of our oldest son, Bama. It's a bittersweet event for a mom.
Last week we celebrated his (last) tennis banquet at the home of his former coach's house. She lives on a lake in the area. It's a celebration the boys on the team look forward to each year. These pictures were taken at the party and to me just say "outdoors" and "summertime". It just evokes a feeling of "Taking it easy" and "Take it in".
Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

I want to remind everyone about Thrifty Thursday, happening here at Bloggeritaville tomorrow.
Thrifty Thursday is a show and tell of sorts. It is time for you to showcase your thrifty find. It can be an old find or a new one. It might be something that you found at a thrift store, a consignment store, flea market, garage/yard sale, dumpster diving, even antique stores. It's it was a thrifty find, then it meets the requirements.
I am not picky, It can be a great pair of boots & a killer vintage dress, jewelry, home decor, even fishing lures. It is your thrifty find. Tell me about it.Where did you find it? What is it? What do you plan to do with it or how do you plan to use it in your home? Do you want to sell it? Thrifty Thursday's are about the thrill of the hunt...and the treasure you found.

They look like they are having a GREAT time... FUN!
Hi Leigh,
Those are definately boys of summer pics! Good Luck on graduation I know how bittersweet that is. My just turned 19 year olds graduated last June and I am still getting used to it! I will have a post tomorrow too for Thrifty Thursday. Cindy
Great summertime photos...thanks for sharing...
Oh it's close Leigh! How exciting for Bama - how tough for Mom. But graduation is a HUGE milestone, and a testament to good parenting :)
The day at the lake looks quite inviting. To be young again with your whole life ahead of you! Tell Bama to enjoy it and remember how he feels RIGHT NOW.
Hugs Leigh. (You are a good Momma my friend)
I really enjoy your blog! Yes, it's a sad time when your child leaves the nest...my last went four years ago. I love these photos...the guy in the front is the best representation for a lazy afternoon of fun! I smiled when I saw them....we live in an area with 82 lakes in our county alone and I see this a lot but it always makes me smile and never gets old! I'm adding you to my list!
Makes me wish school was out already....7 more days with kids...1 without. I don't think this year can end too soon. I have some seniors that I will miss like mad....but some sophomores...that if I ever see again....will be too soon. Maybe the summer will mature them....hope so.
I bet that water was cold. Thanks for sharing.

I love your pictures. My oldest graduated in 2006. Can't believe it's been three years ago. It was an emotional time, but very, very special. Enjoy. It's just a stepping stone. One chapter closes, another opens.
This looks like a great way to enjoy the end of school and the beginning of summer! I hope you took a canoe ride as well!! Congratulations to your son, what a milestone!! Time flies, doesn't it?
Happy Outdoor Wednesday. I'm glad it gave me a reason to come to your blog (I must have been under a rock or something!! LOL!!!). Thrifty Thursdays looks like a lot of fun~I'm a little late today!!
