Thrifty Thursday-Plus a Tablescape

Hey! It's Thrifty Thursday! Thanks for dropping by!

Thrifty Thursday is a show and tell of sorts. It is time for you to showcase your thrifty find. It can be an old find or a new one. It might be something that you found at a thrift store, a consignment store, flea market, garage/yard sale, dumpster diving, even antique stores. It's it was a thrifty find, then it meets the requirements. I am not picky, It can be a great pair of boots & a killer vintage dress, jewelry, home decor, even fishing lures. It is your thrifty find.
Tell me about it.Where did you find it? What is it? What do you plan to do with it or how do you plan to use it in your home? Do you want to sell it?Thrifty Thursday's are about the thrill of the hunt...and the treasure you found. So....do show and tell! Be sure to grab a button and link back with your direct hyperlink. Link back to this post in your Thrifty Thursday post.

Tablescape Thursday is hosted by the ever gracious and lovely Susan of Between Naps on the Porch. I encourage you to visit the great tablescapes though! I have met the most wonderful bloggers through that carnival. Thanks to Susan for hosting!! She is such a doll.
I have a bit of a sentimental post today for my Thrifty Thursday....it's also my tablescape.
Join me for a tea party!
This sweet little tea set belonged to my mother when she was a child. I can just imagine the tea parties she threw.
This set actually looks like it is two sets. Both have a gold background, but one has a pink floral motif and the other a blue bird.
I only have a few pieces. The sugar and creamer from both sets. And just a couple cups and saucers that are mixed and matched pieces.
So this week, a plea...I would love to find other pieces for this set. If any of you come across these pieces in your thrifty travels, won't you please pick them up for me and I will gladly pay you? I would love to build the set to hand down to my daughter one day.
Come back tomorrow to Plates and Places and see what I served at the tea party!
For those who love a great sale, Consider yourself told...the Highway 11 Antique Alley Sale is going on this weekend. Next week we can all meet back up for a Thrifty Thursday show and tell!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to link up. I will also be putting the direct links within the post. I look forward to seeing your Thrifty Thursday!

I was late getting here--had to see AI! Your tea set is precious. Surely someone out there will be able to find them for you--good luck!

What a beautiful tea set---and love the memories that go along with it. Such pretty colors. I will certainly keep my eyes open when I'm out and about. That is a great idea to build the set further for your daughter.

Is your tea set child sized or adult sized? I saw some that may be similar yesterday (that was adult sized) in a thrift store in Auburn. By the way -that little town near where you live-Opelika- is where I live! That's why I bought that yard sale pottery thing last week!

I had a similar set when I was a child. I have no idea what happened to it but it was complete with no broken pieces.

I will keep my eye out for you for more pieces.

I love tea sets too. But I never know how to display them. I also have individual mismatched cups that I find for cheap to play tea party with my daughter. I am posting for the second time and love having a place to share my thrifty finds. Thanks for your great ideas.

Your little tea set is so pretty. Maybe it is marked on the bottom and you can find it on ebay or replacements. Good luck, good things happen when people work together.
