My "Frans" and a GIVEAWAY update

I used to do a weekly post called "meet my Frans" (you can find it on my sidebar in archives) It was a post in which I "introduced" some friends on my bloglist on my sidebar. Frans of course was short for friends, and it was also for the slang southern verbal usage for the word when pronounced. It was a fun meme, but one that I just have not done in so long. Today I am doing a somewhat similar post...I do want you to "Meet my Frans" and visit the following blogs and links below. I promise you will come away with perhaps a great new blog to read, a new friend, a new product to love, or someone to add to your personal prayer list. The reasons and possibilities are actually endless. So I do hope you will take the time to pay a visit and meet...."my frans".

My sweet friend Amy is starting her own business! It is called, A-Z Goodies, specializing in baby gifts. Amy was a vendor at a huge children's consignment event in Rogers (AR) and plan to have a booth at a craft fair in Springdale in May. She has created a website, and has some wonderful products ranging from wet wipe cases and burp cloths to tutus and hair accessories. I encourage you to check out her site, for some great buys as well as to show her some love and encouragement as she gets her new business up and going. Remember Amy when you attend your next baby shower! The website address is: http://www.a-zgoodies.com/ Save it as one of your favorites!
Misti of Studio M Designs and Deocrating has some great new items in her Etsy Store. They are called "sknobs". What are sknobs, you ask? Sknobs are these great little hand painted (by Misti!) knobs that are personal and decorative. They are knobs, as used in furniture, cabinets, I would use some as curtain pull backs! Be sure to check out her store for sknobs and anything else that the creative decorator Misti has in stock.

Mid Atlantic Martha showed how to create a christening gown from a wedding dress, in the most sentimental craft post.

CLICK HERE and go vote for my my friend, Lindsey's little girl, Harper Jane, in a photography contest. You may vote once EVERY day.

My friend Tracy shared this recipe for Easter cookies on her blog, My cup Runneth over. It is perfect to make with your children and teach them the story of salvation.

My friend Mari recently waved goodbye to her son Andy, after a brief break he is back to serve his country. Be sure to swing by and tell Mari how we appreciate her son.

My fran Rhoda is giving away a HP Wireless Photosmart C6380 Printer. Be sure to visit her blog and enter. If I don't win it, I sure hope you do!
Be sure to go to the bird sanctuary (Target) and get some "Birds for Holiday"! Then you can see where the birds take you on April 15th (Read all about it here). This is a fun carnival hosted by Susan of Between Naps on the Backporch. An FYI to the girls in the Ham......I couldnt find any at the Target in Alabaster. I hope to score some today at another location.

This is a big one! I am so excited......the Hannah Montana movie comes out today! Yes, it's true I do love Miss Montana/Miss Cyrus (I cannot stop from singing the song "Fly on the Wall"). But it's not Miley that I am excited about, it's my friend Chesney!!!
You might recall Chesney. She was my hip hop dance instructor....
You remember this? And this? (open in another window)
Well I had also mentioned she had gotten a role in the up and coming Hannah Montana movie. Chesney was cast to play in a scene with Miley Cyrus, Tyra Banks and Vanessa Williams.
A debut trailer for 'Hannah Montana - The Movie' has been released. The film toplines Miley Cyrus, Mitchel Musso and Billy Ray Cyrus. Photo Credit: Walt Disney Pictures
Chesney is cast as a shoe clerk in a department store (I think she said it was Barney's). Anyway, when you take those little girls of yours to the movie, be sure to look out for Chesney. I am really, really proud and excited for her.

Just for old times sake, Here is Ches in action:
You go, Chesney! I know your hometown of Huntsville and the UAB Dance Team will be cheering you on as well! We are all proud of you! You go girl!

FYI-Today on my recipe blog, Plates and Places are all the recipes that were used in the Picnic Tablescape post that ran yesterday are all posted over there. Check it out.

Finally, speaking of goodies......Monday is the day I have been teasing you all about. It's the day I announce the giveaway and the day you can enter. Be certain to tune in on Monday for the details of what and how to win!
****Did you know that this week is the actual calendar week that holy week fell on? It has really been something to resonate with me the story of forgiveness and sacrifice. And today, as we expect storms, I think of the great storm the brewed after Christ was nailed to the cross. He shed his love for thee!!! It's almost hard to wrap my head around the sacrifice and love for sinners such as myself. I hope you have a blessed Easter.

Thanks to all of you for dropping by Bloggeritaville. It's all about YOU! New & Old, Real & Virtual....My Frans! Thanks ! Have a wonderful Easter weekend.
May God Continue to Bless you.

Hey, Leigh! I did hear that Royal Standard had closed & I'm bummed too. Loved that store, I just hate that so many are closing. I was really sad to hear from The Brown House guy too that he was closing. I think I'm heading down there today to check out out. Wish you could meet me!

Thanks for posting about Southern Accents. Layla & Cathy were talking about that place when I met up with them. I have no idea where Cullman is, but I think it's between here and Montgomery maybe. I would love to visit there one day too, but I probably don't need a thing. Looks like a great place though from looking at the website.

I'll try to remember to join your Thursday party next week. There are SO many of these parties every week now, can't keep up with them all. And as usual, I can't keep up with all of YOU either!

Ok, my jaw just about dropped when I read about Amy in Springdale. That's where I live! Sometimes I'm amazed at how small the world really is. I've found so many bloggers that are right here in my own town. Very cool!

Hi Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality!
Hey Rhoda,
I wish I could've met up with you too. It may be Monday before I get down there. I hope it isn't to picked over. I hate that for these mom and pop places.
The architectural place in Cullman is north of Birmingham, go I-65 towards Huntsville. Cullman is about 45 to an hour (at most) from Birmingham. There are alot of neat little places in Cullman, specialty shops, antiques. Be sure to eat at All Steak. Also, there are many German shops and bakeries downtown. Apparently several German settlers. Whodathunk it? The salvage place is really neat and of course changes daily with what they get in.Hope we can catch up sometime soon!

Songbirdtiff- Girl! You will have to go to the show and take some pictures. Meet Amy. She is just the nicest person, though I haven't met her in real life, we have been followers of one another's blog for some time. Almost two years. She is a sweetheart. I hope you can go, give her a hug for me and tell her hello!
Lori E-LOL!! I dont think I talk fast....but who knows? Maybe. I do talk fast, MAybe I do.... LOL Oh, I kid. LOL! I really ta;l quite average, unless I am yelling at my kids to quit something, giving my best yoddle, or singing a fast song. I am glad you dropped in! Thanks again Lori!

The Stylish House- well thank you sweet sugah!YOU Have a Happy Easter,Cathy. Thanks for stopping by!
