It Wasn't Me!

"Momma, It was her fault!!!"
"Unt, Unnnnnn, He screamed. It's his fault!!!"
"Look kids, I dont care whose fault it is, I heard both of you, you are both going to sit in your rooms.."
"But mooooooommmmmm........"
"Not. A. Word."

Several minutes ticked by and then I saw a letter sail down the stairs. Why is it that my kids just cannot understand that really, I don't want to hear it? Well, I guess I didn't actually hear it...

Is it as constant at your home, as it is mine?
And no. We do not have a pole.
Promise.
Update: Ok, you guys are making me blush. LOL. The pole he was referring to is our banister. Honest!
Not to change the subject, but my blog friend, Mari recently hosted a Q&A on her blog, allowing her readers to ask questions for her to answer. I have seen it on other peoples blog too. I have always thought it was a cool thing, but told Mari...I don't think anyone would have anything to ask me? She encouraged me to give it a try. So, Anyone? Got anything for me? If not, we'll pretend like this little conversation never happened. Come on? Anyone? And remember that little sign over there on my sidebar? The one that says Be Nice.... Smile. Bring it on.
Thanks to all for dropping by for Susan's Tablescape Thursday. I always enjoy your visits! I also want to thank those that participate in Thrifty Thursday. I really appreciate your participation. I always enjoy seeing what treasures have been found. Thank you. If you missed them, visit the links within the post (at the bottom) and the Tablescape friends in the comment section.
Thanks to all those that comment, those that lurk, those that drop in for a little conversation! I appreciate it. Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh, that is too funny! I was wondering about that pole! Now that my kids are now teenagers, I don't hear it near as much as I once did. The younger 2 will go at it now and then, because the boy just likes to push his little sister's buttons until she loses it. I try to believe this helps them be stronger adults one day. No????

This is such a funny note!!! And how creative - - - writing (and you OBVIOUSLY did want to hear "read" it - - - you even POSTED it) when you told him to be quiet AND then the special delivery effect. I LOVE it.

I do have a question for you:

"How long have you enjoyed a pole in your bedroom, and would you recommend it to the rest of us?"

Okay, I was conjuring up all kinds of pictures of that pole. Surely he didn't imagine it.

okay, that little note is so funny! And the pole? I was laughing so hard thinking about one of those stripper poles in your house!

That is too funny! It gets better though - they really do like each other.

Here is my question:
I'm amazed by the great deals you get thrift shopping, because I never seem to do well. I'm wondering if this is something your family did when you were young or something you started when you got married. Also - how often do you try to hit the thrift stores?
Glad you are doing this!

I love this Leigh. You are saving the note for posterity aren't you?

Great post!!

The part about the pole didn't strick me as funny until I started reading the comments - I just assumed it was the banister, a support post or something -- but I LOVED the comments!

My favorite part was "PS I did not tell her to do it." That had me rolling!

I haven't gone back and read all of your blog, so I only about the 6 months of your life, so I'd like to know how you started your photography business. You can just direct me to a previous post if you'd like. I think you are quite gifted when it comes to your photography. I love looking at it.

My husband and I have started and stopped a few million businesses and it always fascinates me how people get into things.

Have a fabulous week!

Okay, I just got a brilliant idea while reading this. From now on my children can't run downstairs and tattle. From now on they have to give a written report. Just like the police require. If I were a bettin' woman, I'd bet our crime rate will drop drastically.

Ha ha ha....what a creative child.

Hi Leigh, to start off, I would like to say I loved this past Tablescape Thursday! Love the idea of tea towels as napkins. Very Nice Touch!

This put a huge smile on my face. Although I don't have children, this brought back memories of me and my brothers and I'm sure we tormented my mother.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful weekend.

Blessings - Debbie

ROFLMBO! That reminds me of an email I got a while back of a drawing a kid did of his mom's job. It looked like she was dancing around a pole with men handing her money. Turns out she sold shovels at Lowe's or Home Depot. HAHAHA

HMMMM...I'll have to think of a question for you and come back to ask it.

Such a cute post :-)

I'm new to your blog but enjoy it very much. I'll definitely be back!

Ignore my question if you've already blogged it (maybe just direct me to the post that answers it?) but how did you and Big Daddy meet?
