Weekend Freebies & One Recall

My friend Zinnia mentioned to me a sample giveaway at Walmart, I thought I would pass the word along:

Free Samples Saturday at Walmart
Walmart is hosting an All You event called "Yes, You Can!" this Saturday OR Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. You need to look-up your closest participating Walmart location to find out which day they are hosting this FreebiEvent. They promise to have lots of free samples to pass out. Most likely samples will be from the sponsors which include Suave, Smart Ones, Weight Watchers Cheese, Emergen-C, Carefree, and Crisco. Even though all locations are supposed to be participating, I encourage you to call your local Walmart before heading out for a special trip.

FYI
I checked the stores in Alabama and the ones I saw participating are the ones on Hwy 150, Lakeshore, Trussville and the Hwy 280 (Hoover) Walmart; with the exception of the 280 store (Sunday) the others are doing their promotion on Saturday October 25.

IRVINE, CALIF., October 22, 2008 – Hey America, are you ready for some free tacos? Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Jason Bartlett stole free tacos for America from Taco Bell®, as he stole second base in the bottom of the 5th inning of Game 1 at the World Series. "This is one stolen base that goes into the record books more than just a stat, but as a steal that fed the country."Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Jason Bartlett joins Boston Red Sox centerfielder Jacoby Ellsbury as the only two players in World Series history to have stolen millions of tacos for America. For some really GREAT freebies:
Monday is also the start of a bloggy carnival giveaway! I love the giveaway. You are bound to win a great prize and discover some wonderful new blogs in the process!

Finally, a recall of interest with this being Halloween week:
This is true according to snopes:With Halloween fast approaching comes a warning to parents and kids regarding Sherwood brand Pirate's Gold milk chocolate coins imported from China. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning the public not to eat, distribute or sell the candy. It is sold across Canada by Costco and may also have been sold in bulk packages or as individual pieces at various dollar and bulk stores. The chocolate contains melamine which is the same chemical responsible for killing several babies in China, and sickening thousands more.

Have a great weekend!
