Killing Time at Lulu's Homeport Marina

I used to love the sun. I posted about that relationship and what is now a volatile relationship. And, as I have gotten older I find that laying in the sun catching rays is quite boring. There are things to do, places to go, people to see.

And so.....I go, and see and do. On my most recent trip to the beach, me and my gang headed over to Lulu's Homeport Marina to take in the sights and the sounds.

During the summer months, Lulu host a art show every Saturday on the grounds. There was some absolutely gorgeous artwork, Priced to sell.

If you are lucky, you might just happen upon the great character artist of Hoolagainheads doing some fine caricatures at very reasonable prices-once again.

Recognize this guy?

We then proceeded down to the marina. This is where alot of my fantasizing comes into play.
Step aboard my lovely boat:

This one has a smaller boat on back, as well as a couple jet skis.
HUGE! Can you imagine? It came with it's own crew, who we saw working away so busily.
But of course, Big Daddy images his gas bill. And it soon becomes his nightmare.
Now on this boat, I can imagine some good times....

Most certainly Lulu's herself.
Don't cha know that there is some good food, good friends, good music and good times on there? A perfect mix of "gumbo" on that one!

Really I would take any boat out here.....in all actuality one of the smaller ones would suit me best. I just need enough room to cast my rod and room to chill with my own "gumbo".

Big Daddy just wants one where he can put his feet up and relax.

Which is exactly what he and my dad, Poppy, did after our long walk.
Seems I am needing one myself

Check out Lulu's, for more than just the food.
Allow your mind to do some "Havana Daydreamin' too.

Sailin' on a midnight boat
There were no questions asked
The water so green and the air was so clean
He just stuck right to his task
Havana daydreamin'
Boy he's just schemin' His life away

Hi Bama Belle! Enjoy your girls weekend! I am very serious about a boat, but will have to wait a few years before we buy. My oldest is to begin college in the fall (with 2 more kids behind) so that is the biggest focus.
Pay cash for everything-no debt-so no boat for now. I will however, pass the word along to my dad. What kind of boat is it. My dad is in the market for a fishing boat but I do not recall the exact make.
