Here is Sonya, Diva's sister in law. Sonya is a former Hurricane Katrina refugee....and this week a Hurricane Gustav refugee. Hurricanes seem to come on her birthday. We couldn't allow Gustav to rain on her parade, so we painted! Glad you were in town Sonya!
This is Sonya's Blue Dog in it's early stages. I hope you all can see. I thought he looked much like Piglet from Winnie the Pooh!
Here is Sharon with her dog....
.
Here is High May with her pup, she seems to be pleased with her rough draft...
Then we have Diva, do you see why I adore Diva so? She makes me laugh! (Hunchback voice)Yes....Master....snort, snort...
Dang it! Big Daddy is complaining right now as I type this that his silly little computer game is running slow because I am uploading pictures on mine. Now I will have to make the pictures a bit smaller. Click if you want to see them better.
Here, Flo shows off her first background painting. I hear she is up for a spot on the Price is Right.
Everyone's background's are complete!
As mentioned before, it was Sonya's birthday. The gang all brought goodies in to celebrate. It turns out that "Mike" the only guy in the group, was celebrating his birthday too (as told my his girlfriend). So much for a quiet night out with his girlfriend, not a chance of that in a room full of loud women!! We made Sonya and Mike stand in front of the class while we sung Happy Birthday to them. Don't they look happy....
After the celebration, it was back to work.We finished up on our digs, each one of us giggling at the vast differences in our canines.
Here is my finished creation along with the original copied picture that we went by:
And here, a final group shot of proud Dog owners:

Art Buzz is now in it's new location! It is located in the Mayer Lighting strip mall, across the street from the Walmart in Pelham. Next week there is a class that will feature live music. That sounds fun!
And still ahead for a future visit: Painting in Old Town Helena at Coffee and Canvas. A former school mate of mine, Dawn Lee, teaches art classes there. I do not know if Dawn is ready to handle my gang...so consider yourself warned Dawn. Soon......
