My Favorite Thrifty Treasures

Rhonda at Southern Hospitality is hosting a party! It is a party to show your favorite antique/flea market find. I couldn't pick just one so I will show you a few.

First up are two things....One a lamp I found at the Alabaster thrift store. Even at the thrift store, I spent more than I wanted ($50) but I absolutely fell in love with this lamp. Actually, I didn't buy it when I first saw it. I went home and couldn't stop thinking about it. I went back. And I think because it the price tag in the thrift store it was still there. It's gorgeous.

Beside the lamp is a vintage treasure, also purchased in a thrift store. This one was $12.00. It is from South Carolina. A print representing the the basket weavers. There is a tag on the back of the store it was purchased in. I would love to find out more about it. All of the pieces of the dress and basket are hand cut. The colors are vibrant. It is dear.

Have you ever been to the Nations Longest Garage Sale? It literally runs in length from Kentucky to Gadsden, Alabama. It was there that I found this precious find. This ring, real gold. The setting is unique and detailed. I am not sure if the stone is real. Probably not, I am thinking it is costume. But have you priced vintage costume jewelry? Gasp!. This ring was $25.00 and had my name on it.
I purchased this cute monkey lamp at a sale. Again, more than I should have paid, perhaps, at a garage sale. But he is cute. He was $10.00. I have him listed on my Baby's Gone Shoppin' sale blog because I didn't have anywhere to put him. My SIL's mother is a decorator, she came in and plopped him there. And there he sits.
Read here about my boxes I found. Love these. I have a box fetish.
And of course my marble cheese serving piece from Lenox that I got for a steal at $2.98!
I invite you to play along. Tell us about your favorite thrift find. Go to Rhoda's blog and sign up on the linky list. And be sure to tell me too in my comments. We will all stop by to check out your favorite thrifty find.
Happy Thrifting!

I think that lamp is worth more than the price you paid. I really like the print and the ring is beautiful. Great monkey lamp too!

Hey, Leigh, I'm glad you are playing along too! That lamp from Alabaster is really pretty, but you're right about the high price of $50 in the thriftstore! What were they thinking?? Anyway, I know you love it, as well as that art from SC.

I've been to the Longest Yardsale twice, but really didn't like it all that much. It's fun to browse, but there are SO many antique dealers out there trying to make a buck, it turned me off. I didn't think there were that many bargains. Love your ring! I had an old amythest ring that was very similar, but sadly it got stolen. It was beautiful too!

Have a good weekend,
Rhoda

Love that monkey lamp- so cute! And that picture! I visited S Carolina and saw the basket weavers. Google the name of the store on the back of the print.

The ring is FABulous! My bud Jerri is doing the yard sale this weekend. I am SO jealous but I will head to her shop soon and just buy from her what I would have bought at the yard sale. We have similar tastes!!

Great items, and I don't think you paid too much at all! I've always wanted to do the longest yard sale...maybe one day! :)
