Gustav-Hanna On Their Way

There will be no hurricane parties. This is one to take very seriously. Coming back from Meridian yesterday there was an ominous flow of traffic going south west. Ambulances and buses-lots of them, on the road and at gas stations off the interstate. Also in large numbers was the highway patrol. We talked to one officer yesterday who said that they were extremely busy due to evacuations from our neighbors to our west.
My friend Diva has family that are in the direct path of the storm. They have arrived safely at her house in Alabama. They said that traffic was intense. When leaving LA. they said that is took 45 minutes to travel 3 miles. I have family in Gulfport (a few blocks from the coastline) that were affected by a similar Hurricane Katrina. This week will be the anniversary of Katrina coming ashore. I currently do not know if my MS family have evacuated due to Gustav.
I want to offer up my prayers to all affected by the impending Hurricane Gustav, as well as what is presently Tropical Storm Hanna (expected to hit somewhere on the Atlantic Coast-Beach Bum keep an eye to the sky and take cover!).
My prayers are with you all.
Sincerely,
Leigh

Hi, Leigh, glad you got to go & be with your friend. I'll have to read up on the story later, but WOW is that a neat house. You really didn't miss all that much. I hardly bought anything. I think being a holiday weekend, there weren't as many participating.

I'll keep my ears open for another good neighborhood sale & let y'all know!

I'm in Jacksonville, FL - we are already feeling Gustav (actually my bones are feeling it!) we are just getting the wide spread arm bands of the storm - but I've got my prayers out to everyone in Gustav's path.
