Fresh stuff.
Dried to a flavorful perfection.
And she shared it with me, because she loves me. And she knows that I love fresh herb.

What? No, I am NOT alluding to something of a illegal substance! Heaven's no!!!!
But as I drove home, I got to thinking....."I hope I do not get pulled over. How would I explain that one? What would I tell my husband and kids?"
And most certainly my mother would die of embarrassment. Certainly. Especially because I would be forced to list her as my "source".
I think I would have some major "splaning" to do with any green substance in a jar that has the word weed on it.
What is worse, she first had it in a baggie and then I told her it looked suspicious so she transferred it to this jar. And wrote "weed" on it. Dill weed. But weed, is what she wrote, no less.
Something so innocent and delicious, as a fresh dill pasta salad could have gone to "pot" for lack of a better word.
Thank God for small favors. And no traffic. And perfect driving conditions. And no blue lights in my rear view mirror.
Oh! And a fabulous pasta salad. YUM!

I'm sure a smell of it would have let any lawman know what kind of weed it was!
Cute story.
True, Keetha. I told myself that ....and I am certain it could have been easily identified by an officer on closer inspection. But as I drove down the road....all I could think of was getting stopped with that canister of green herb in my car ...LOL.
OMG that is so funny!!! If you did get pulled over it needed to be videotaped LOL
Thats funny.. I have a similar fear when we go to the beach and have 4 or 5 baggies of pre-measured laundry detergent in the back. Some state trooper is gonna get real excited then real disappointed when his big bust turns out to be Tide with a Touch of Downy.
OMG you CRACK me up!!!! I love it! lol
I want that pasta recipe!!! Sounds YUMMY!!!! Come on and share with me!
Oh my goodness!! What are all your blogger friends going to think about dear ol' Mom? (some lil' ol' lady sharing her weed)!
Sure is a good herb and it smells so good!
I'm innocent!
Love, Mom
Hey dullbert - I have baggies of laundry soap, too. I'm allergic to the regular stuff, so I always pack my own.
The fear of being pulled over has lessened over the years, but still I wonder.
I think if the package is marked "WEED" then it is highly suspicious. Who marks their weed? hahahahahaha
Leave it to you to drive around with weed in the car.
You could have been pulled over for being cautious and might have had to explain your nervousness
I just found your blog and you are so funny and creative. What fun! I was laughing so hard thinking about being stopped with something like this in the car and the story that you'd tell. Thanks for the laugh. Connie
