Safety Classes

If you live in the area, there is a few classes that are going on that I wanted to mention. Safety classes. There are classes for children and also some for ladies. I think it is a fabulous idea. With Summer being here, it is a perfect time to revisit safety with children.

Officer Weaver of the Alabaster Police department is teaching the classes. All classes are being held at Meadowview Elementary School in Alabaster.

There are two weeks of kids classes. Classes are one week in length, but the option of two weeks is available for scheduling.
Kids classes are June 23-27th and June 16-20th
please call regarding times. Children will be separated by age group.

Officer Weaver is also conducting a Women's Safety Class, again, offering the same class on two separate weeks.
Week One is July 7-10th
week Two is July 14-17

There is also two times offered on both of those weeks. Either 1-4 PM or 6-9PM
Again classes will be taught at the school.

Classes are free.

For more info or to register for any of these classes
call Officer Weaver at 664-6850.

BTW- Leave a message if he isn't available. He will return your call. But warning , if you have a teen, be prepared he begins the conversation with, "Yes Mam, this is officer Weaver of the Alabaster Police Department...."
First my heart stopped. And I then drew in a huge breath, with which I think he knew I was concerned and he interjected, "Everything is ok", to which I replied, "What did he do? Was he in a car accident? IS he ok? What'd he do?"........

Being a mom of a teenage boy, it's tough.....

Anyway, if you live in the Birmingham Area, this is a great class to be involved in. It could save your life! Hope to see you there!

Indeed, I also renew my CPR certificate each summer as well since I am always at the beach or pool.
