Medication Induced Rambling......

This AM I am sending Bama off to the Beach. He is going to be in a tennis tournament in Pensacola later today and then spend the weekend in Orange Beach. It is always hard to send your babies off for a long way, and not be there. He is getting older and I feel it important to allow him some Independence and to spread his wings. He is going to be chaperoned and with his tennis coach. The team is a good bunch of boys. I trust they will behave.

It is shaping up to be an eventful weekend. Several things are going on and I am looking forward to being active (I think), despite the fact that I have been stricken with an upper respiratory infection. I missed dance class last night because I felt so drained and somewhat sore. I hate to miss class, certainly because this body needs to be moving. I just couldn't gather the drive though , no matter how I tried. I am now partaking in a cup of hot tea with lemon and honey. I am on a hunt for a package of halls cough drops. Yuk! I hate the stuff that is living in my chest and throat. You know the commercial, "Hey! It's Mr. Mucus!" and he is having a heck of a party in there, inviting all his friends.
I got the news that my 20th high school reunion is in the works. The thought alone scares me. I haven't yet decided if I will go. I know Big Daddy will leave the decision to me. He is quite content to sit in his little computer chair lost in the world of war craft. Me, I would love to get reacquainted with old friends. In fact, I have thought about possibly going, then inviting the ones I really want to play catchup with back to our house for a cookout. But then I look in the mirror and become panic stricken. I really don't know if I can do it. -Shivers-
I had to fill out an online form relating to the reunion. There were two questions on it that I felt so uncomfortable answering. One was, "What is the craziest thing you have done since graduation". That one was not as bad as the second, "Since graduation, what has been your greatest accomplishment (not including family)." I felt that it was a "damned if you do or damned if you don't situation. If you answer (I felt) it seemed as if I were being boastful and self indulgent, but if I didn't answer, I looked "unaccomplished" and like a schlep. What to do. Well, I got carried away with the "craziest" question, but ended by saying, if you really want to know, ask my family and friends, they are better in tune to answer what has been the craziest.
So, it leads me to this...what has been the craziest thing you have done since your high school graduation?

A friend of mine sent me an email last night. She is looking to hire someone as a networking, lead technician. If you are interested or know someone that is, let me know and I will be happy to point you in the right direction. With the job shortage, I thought I would make mention.
Speaking of jobs, I think Bama has a good lead here in Helena on a job. He has an interview set up next week. He will also be working for the Birmingham Barons, as he did last season. Thank goodness! Hurray!
So that is all that is on my mind right now. I hope that the weekend promises anyone and everyone reading a good one. I hope that Mr. Mucus and his friends don't find their way to you.
Where ARE those cough drops anyway?

Mmmm the Mucinex mascots. Mucinex sure does get rid of all that mucus, just not always in the ways you'd expect. I'd be careful LOL

The craziest thing I've done since high school graduation in 1994 was probably when I had my bizarre manic episode in 2001, but that is truly *crazy* and now what you're asking about ;). I am just not a crazy thing person. When I was in college, I did drive to Atlanta with a long-time friend so she could get her nipples and nether regions pierced, and held her hands throughout. But that's crazy for *her*, not me.

That question made me realize I'm truly boring. maybe this is a good thing LOL

Bossy Pants-Oh, mercy! That hurts me to even read that. That is crazy. Glad yoiu didn't get to crazy. I cannot imagine the pain.

Dullbert-Certainly do not incrimidate yourself. If not, spill the beans.

I hope you feel better! You're on the right track with hot tea. That helps me as well.

Hmmm.
let me see....
getting a tatoo,
taking 60 high school seniors to Cancun for a week,
parasailing on said trip,
breaking and entering (did not get caught and was for a good purpose)...
Shall I go on?
