As I lay in bed, recovering from my surgical procedure on Tuesday, I saw this story on ABC about a seed storage house. It is where seeds for hundreds of plants will be stored if Doomsday should ever happen. A doomsday seed vault on a remote Norwegian island in the Arctic Ocean opened Tuesday, creating a bank of more than 100 million seeds representing every major food crop on Earth.
My only concern, I don't know if my hiking skills will ever allow me the expertise to get there, not to mention the swimming. Mightly frigid water. Mental note-gotta buy a boat! And if I do make it there, how will I get in? Where will I plant...hmmmm. This means a long hike back.... Much planning to do....
