Many of Elvis fans will make their progression to Graceland in Memphis today to mark the birthday of Elvis Presley. I remember being a child and just watching......He was amazing even to a 7 year old. I also recall the day in 1977, I was watching tv and then the television went to a completley blue screen with a news bulletin that ran across the bottom of the tv announcing of the kings untimely death. I went and told my mother who did not believe me until she saw it for herself. A sad day. And so today, eat a grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich and think of what could've been. Happy Birthday to the "King".

I was also 7 years old when Elvis died, and I remember sitting with my mother in the car and hearing about his death on the radio. It was pretty shocking for the time...even for a 7 year old.
I love peanut butter and banana sandwiches! Not fried, though...
It was. So sad to think what could've been. Someone once said "Of all the words written on paper by pen, the saddest of these are what could've been."
