The Mitchell Report

Wow. The Mitchell report. Some surprises, some not so (Barry Bonds). The most controversial though, Roger Clemmons, who vehemently denies the allegations. Clemmons, a seven-time Cy Young Award winner, eighth on the all-time list with 354 victories, an MVP and All-Star himself and once a lock for the Hall of Fame now has this, a new status as a steroid user that could possibly have enabled him the distinctions of the for mentioned accolades.
Missing from the list that was surprising to me, Mark McGuire (sorry Big Daddy-man crush). It has long been rumored that McGuire has dabbled in the muscle enhancing drug. His use of Androstenedione during his 1998 home run race with Sammy Sosa set off baseball’s first concerns about steroids.Testifying before Congress in 2005, McGwire refused to talk about his past, and refused as well to cooperate with Mitchell. The report recounts all that without making any accusations.
