Art Buzz all the Buzz....

...........................................................................................Art is in the eye of the beholder....thank goodness! On Friday night I ventured out in the cold to Art Buzz, located in Pelham Alabama. Art Buzz is a painting class that provides a theme, canvas, and paints. It's everything you need to create (or in my case attempt) a masterpiece. Add wine and snacks and it is certain fun. Whether you create a piece that is "museum quality" or not-it is all about the fun. That was a concept that mother had a hard time getting. I went to Art Buzz with my mom and mother in law. The theme of the evening was Alabama or Auburn landmarks. The class was split based on what the artist chose to paint. For this reason, I painted alone....and my "mom's" went to another room to listen to step by step instructions, or rather helpful suggestions of how to make your painting come "alive" with character. Both Tuiren and I really enjoyed the artistic concept of the class, though my mother fretted over her painting, searching for perfection. She just didn't understand that anything was acceptable. I think she and Tuiren both did a great job. The art class we participated in was only $25.00 and small in student ratio. I found that very helpful because of the small scale it allowed us to receive one on one assistance, if needed. Theme's change daily. Wow! If the one you are holding is yours then it is very good! I love the crazy perspectives. I saw another alabama blog where the person sold paintings like that online. I wish I could remember it. I might take my wife on a date night there.

Yes. It is mine. I wasn;t that impressed with mine. BUt it is whimsical. I tried. I have never seen that building. My husband went to school there....it's part of a Christmas gift to him. Your wife would really enjoy it. Bring a bottle of wine (you can blame anything on the wine). There were several men there. In my class of 12, half were men.
