I made a trip to the thrift store on Monday night. I have found that in my area, for me the best time to go is early in the morning (when it opens at 8AM) or late at night (I go around 7 or 8, it closes at 9:30 PM). And the best time to visit is mid week, when things are not picked over from the weekend. Weekends are brutal at and on the thrift. My mom would say "You can't stir them with a stick"...and so you will not find Leigh there. I do not like big crowds.
...Anyway, back to my thrifty find. I was shopping around and came across this cute sea biscuit bowl with lid.
I just thought is was so pretty.
It is made my Franciscan, a company which I am unfamiliar with.
Maybe I can use it in a future tablescape. And for 99 cents, a bargain!
Another little something I found that I can use in a tablescape are these three little bowls.
Made by Gibson, they were 79 cents each. I love how the sides are "wavy" and dotted.
Tablescape Thursday:
Last week we were celebrating our childrens spring break...we opted for a 'staycation" and tried to make life at home more special. One way were these celebration plates and the black and white colors.
Because its not only the big things in life worth celebrating....its also the little things.
I encourage you to visit my friend Susan of Between Naps on the Porch for some great Tablescape Thursday participants.

Franciscan was very popular in the sixties and maybe seventies!! Hadn't thought of that brand in a while.. Always enjoy your blog...
Hello!!! I made a Simple, Organic Lip Balm recipe that you can adjust with essential oils for your personal tastes. It only costs around $.25 a tube and it is awesome! Thanks for hosting the party once again. Have a great week!
