Thrifty Thursday #119, Plus a Tablescape

Hi! It's Thrifty Thursday! I am your host, Leigh. Thank you so much for stopping by and additional thanks to those who also participate in Thrifty Thursday! I am most delighted to have you join in..for it's YOU who makes it a "show and tell party". I also participate in Tablescape Thursday the host of that fun carnival is the Hostess with the Mostess...Susan of Between Naps on the Backporch. That's no lie or exaggeration, each week I visit Susan's porch and just long to be a guest at any of her tablescapes...especially those held on the porch.
(You can click on any pictures for a closer view)

*Thrifty Thursday takes place each Thursday and is hosted here at Tales from Bloggeritaville, but the party is a progressive one, visit the links to see all the Thrifty Thursday links to see the thrifty treasures participating bloggers have to share.

*Don't forget to copy and paste the Thrifty Thursday logo button to your computer so you can add it to your side bar and your Thrifty Thursday post. That way visitors will know that your are participating in Thrifty Thursday.

You might recall a post I wrote about a month ago regarding my son, Bama's room. He had returned home, after the April 27th tornado in Tuscaloosa, when classes were cancelled to find his room at home unlivable due to water damage. From there he went and lived with my mother. Well, within the last two weeks his room was finally completed and he was able to move back him before school starts.

We made some nice changes, a brighter color...and some thrifty finds that I am anxious to share with you...

Everything you see in this corner, thrifty finds. I am still working on finding a thick cushion for the chair. It came with the ottoman and was $30. for both. The Lamp was $10, with tags still on it. And I love that gold truck. I had thought he could take it back to school with him and it'd work perfect for storage, but the more I think of it, the more I reconsider. It also makes a great place to sit. This is not how the room will be set up, we are still working on that but for thrifty purposes....I wanted you to see. That trunk....$3.88! A good day at the thrift!

Love the leather straps!

On Friday I plan to feature some of my Thrifty Thursday contributors, so be certain to drop by on Friday! It is all of YOU who make THIS a PARTY!!!!!

Now, onto to Tablescape Thursday, which is hosted by Susan of Between Naps on the Porch.

How about a "vintage" tablescape in greens and golds?

All of these products can be found at  AT HOME  in Homewood, Alabama.

What is a tablescape without the food? I invite you to stop by my food blog, PLATES & PLACES, tomorrow for Foodie Friday!

Thanks to all of you for stopping by and participating in today's Thrifty Thursday. Please use Mr. Linky below to link up your blog.

I encourage you all to spread the love and visit the other thrifty Thursday participants, for that's what half the fun is. Aside from seeing a cool treasure it's making friends!
You can always visit me on FACEBOOK,

I love me some friends: be they new friends or old friends!

Great finds especially on the buy on the trunk. Sorry you have had to deal with the damage.
Thanks for hosting again this week. My contribution is small, but I have not been "thrift shopping" very much lately.

Your sons place looks great! It would be so fun to decorate for a guy, I have all girls. The husband doesn't care about decorating at all.
Thanks for hosting and I think you are the hostest with the mostest!!
