Inspire ME Floors

If you need to disguise wood floor that has some flaws....or just want a change, why not go for a inexpensive fix that really will make a statement? Paint your floors!

Check out these examples and get inspired!

I LOVE this one by Design Sponge

Here’s another one from Coastal Living magazine that turns an otherwise ho-hum floor into a work of art. And you wouldn't be surprised that I love the beachy feel the paint job adds to this room.

And these others from Coastal Living :

While this one isn't painted, it is a beauty!!!! And I love the idea of recycling.
This rustic Wine and Fruit Flooring from German flooring company Parador. The pattern was inspired by flooring found in old European cellars, which were often made of wood from discarded wine crates with fired-on inscriptions and dates. I am In.LOVE. with this floor!

I need to get my wine drinking aficionado/friends to start buying by the crate....
Hope you found some inspiration in these pictures like I did!

See you tomorrow for Thrifty Thursday! Link will be up Wednesday evening.

I love those! I wonder how they hold up. I suppose if you put a good finish over top it would be ok.

I have a mudroom floor that needs replacing. How upset could the man get about me trying something new in a mudroom? I am going to show him your great ideas.

This really got me thinking! I have an office that could use some help on the worn wood floors...maybe I'll do something like this instead of the normal route of refinishing. Good idea!

The wine crate floor is awesome! It's definitely a tough project though. It requires that all of the pieces to be absolutely straight and square. I would recommend that each piece is given multiple coats of finish individually, with a final coat across the top once they're all installed. The end result will be amazing.
