Before I move onto today's Thrifty Thursday, I want to let you know that I will be taking next week off. It is Spring Break for my children and we have many things planned. Exciting things planned. Which means I am going to devote next week solely to them and our time together. I will be back the week of March 21st, so please be sure and join me. I cannot wait to share with you our grand adventures.
This means, we will postpone Thrifty Thursday next week and return the following week.
But for now, this week's Thrifty Thursday....
Earlier this week I mentioned that I was SIMPLIFYING. My house. My mind. Not that my mind is cluttered with stress, but it is cluttered with the stuff I see around my home. Some stuff that I no longer have a need for. In fact I am planning a sale of some of my thrifty items on Esty. I will let you know more on that in the future.
But in my clearing out, I came across a clock that I purchased at the thrift for $3.88. The piece on top was a green corner bargain, years ago from Kirkland's. It was dirt cheap.
Both thrifty pieces hang on the wall above my computer desk. My computer desk I inherited from my grandmothers home. It is all wood and has crosses cut into some of the framing. I love it. I believe it once was in a church. My computer chair, another thrifty find for $10.00. My desk lamp, a Tiffany style lamp, was a gift from my friend "Diva".
Thrifty finds this week, that I "found" in my home.
This Thursday I am joining in Tablescape Thursday , hosted by Between Naps on the Porch.
All of my dishes can be found at At Home in Homewood, Alabama. Including the silver bird napkin ring. Doesn't it just "sing" Spring?

I look forward to seeing what you'll be offering up as you simplify. I am also in the process of cleaning up and clearing out. In fact, today's post (mine) has a link to an organizational challenge or mission.

Hello Leigh!
I haven't seen you in a while!
I'm sorry!
I saw the lights on and that you were having a party and I had to come by! ;)
I adore your desk (what a gorgeous heirloom!) area and the deal you got on the mirror.
Simplifying?
Uh, heck yeah!
I have been purging and am having a Purge Party in Mondays to mainly motivate me, but have invited my friends to come along :)
I pray you have a wonderfully blessed day making your home!

I de-cluttered all day Tuesday and my back is letting me know it's NOT happy! Took a load to the Goodwill and have another pile for a spring garage sale. It feels good! I love your office corner and especially the clock. Have a wonderful spring break with your kiddos. See you in a couple weeks!

A nice space for taking care of business. I usually park my computer and printer on my Hoosier cabinet but it is a temporary spot.
Thanks for hosting! Happy to have found your site!
I love your mirror and your clock. Thanks for having us!
