Welcome to Forest, Mississippi! It's the childhood home of my dear friend, Sweetness. Her parents still reside here and so graciously entertained and feed me brunch. I found their home so charming, so refective of their family...I thought I would take you on a tour of a few of the rooms. So come inside!

Thrifty Recap, Recipes and a Puter Question.....
I thought I would share a few fab post from Thrifty Thursday linky yesterday, these are worth a second look..
Cindy of Applestone Cottage had the place I'd like to be....one her front porch! She made her own charming little pillows and tablecloth from thrifty priced material and her tablescape.....check it out. It only looks expensive, it too is budget. Which means you, Cindy, get an A++++! Cottage Chic on a budget. Cindy, you make thrifty charming.
Ironstone, a primitive Bucket, cookbooks, etc. 1.00 each? See for yourself at Shirley's World.
Marvelously Messy had a steal of a deal with this $9.00 jelly cabinet. She gave it love to make it look so fabulous. Check it out , the before and after on her blog.
I think this was my very favorite, though I hate to say that. I love you all, it's like telling your children you like one more than the other. But one week one child may go above and beyond and you gotta tell them how much it means to you. Well Brambleberry Cottage was that child. I am in love with her!
She took old chippy wooden pieces from a Victorian home and created the most precious keepsake boxes. But she didn't stop there, she took any scraps from that project and created this mirror using the scraps in the sash. GOLD STAR of the week!
I also hope that you will go by Brambleberry Cottage Blog, Liz is a new blogger, she began her blog in January of this year. I emailed her conversed with her yesterday about the wonderful spirit and kinship, fellowship of bloggers...speaking from the realm of blogs relating. Those that visit me and those that I visit. I think we all kind of go in the same circles. It really is a "sisterhood" of women who are so supportive of one another and I think it so unique that so many have forged friendships with strangers via the Internet. A situation that would not happen otherwise for we do have good sense. I feel blessed to have each of you come by my blog and leave comments. It means so much to me and I think you for that.
I hope you will do the same for Liz. And I have to give Liz props, for a newbie she has really jumped in with both feet, she has a linky party coming up on June 7th called Ask the Yankee as well as her Time Travel Thursday and Tips and Tricks Tuesday linky . She doesn't mess around! I like that. So, please won't you swing by and say hello, tell her you are there by way of Bloggeritaville.
Alright, need advice...Is it just me or are there issues with uploading pictures? Now mine takes forever to load pics, unless I upload direct from Picasa and then can only load three at a time. When I try and upload through blogger I am given a choice to upload via blogger, Picasa web albums not mine on the computer but what is saved through blogs) and by URL. I want to upload as I have in the past, via folders where I store pics on my computer. How can I do this? Or...how can I delete pics from Web Albums so it will not take infinity to load? Or will that delete pics from my blog? I need someones advice here. Hope you can help!
***UPDATE!!!! Calamity Anne gave me come advice in comments that fixed my problem. My sincere thanks!!!!!*****
If you didn't get a chance to visit Thrifty Thursday participants yesterday, I highly recommend you do!!!! We had some great contributors, so please stop by and say hello.
And over at my recipe blog, Plates and Places I am cooking up a delicious helping of Angel Hair with Cherry Tomatoes and Basil or as they say in Italy....Capelli d`Angelo con Pomodorini e Basilico. Its a wonderful and light dish, perfect for summer....and most likely you have all the ingredients in your pantry and summer garden. So, stop by won't you, and get some suppertime decisions made.
I am off now to the pearly white beaches of Inlet Beach, hope your weekend is exciting and fun....and safe!
HUGS my sweet Bloggeritaville Friends!
XXOO's,
Leigh

Thrifty Thursday #68, Plus a Tablescape
Hi! It's Thrifty Thursday! I am your host, Leigh. Thank you so much for stopping by and additional thanks to those who also participate in Thrifty Thursday! I am most delighted to have you join in..for it's YOU who makes it a "show and tell party".
(You can click on any pictures for a closer view)
*Thrifty Thursday takes place each Thursday and is hosted here at Tales from Bloggeritaville, but the party is a progressive one, visit the links to see all the Thrifty Thursday links to see the thrifty treasures participating bloggers have to share.
*Don't forget to copy and paste the Thrifty Thursday logo button to your computer so you can add it to your side bar and your Thrifty Thursday post. That way visitors will know that your are participating in Thrifty Thursday.
I was driving running some errands this week, when my car suddenly made a turn....... all by itself, mind you.........and I found myself in the parking lot of the Pelham Treasures Thirft shop. Funny how that happens sometimes. Well, it felt it was a sign so I followed my heart and went inside. Boy was I glad I did! Their already low prices were 40% everything in the store!!!
I found some goodies!
Like these cowboy boots....I can't help myself...and at $10.50 it was a bargain, but with 40% off of that price....SOLD!
I love the butterfly design in studs. The design is on the front and backside of the boot. It looks good coming and going! Perfect with a summer dress!
I also found this brand new Sac purse.

Basic Black, goes with everything! It was $6.25 then an additional 40% off.

And then I found these awesome thrifty deals via the internet and took full advantage! I cannot say if they are expired, but as of last week it was still going on:
**VistaPrint is offering customers a FREE customized t-shirt, all you pay is shipping which is only $4.41! Select from 36 shirt designs that you can add your own text too. Click here to see other FREE offers available at VistaPrint. I felt it was time my girlfriends, affectionanty known as the Clematis Club had their own tshirts...and for less than 5 bucks, we all do now! (will show you when they all come in!)
**Budget Prints is offering 250 FREE Business Cards, all you pay is shipping which is $7.95. Great for bloggers to include a business card for your blog when you ship fun things to readers.
**SeeHere is offering 50% off photo posters and collages plus FREE shipping when you use coupon code grads-4 at checkout. An 11×14 poster or collage would only be $3.49! Sorry Offer expired May 31st, 2010, but I am sure that the sight will be offering more goodies. I ordered 6 of these poster prints for another gallery wall that I am working on.
Tablescape Thursday
Now, onto to Tablescape Thursday, which is hosted by Susan of Between Naps on the Porch.

I also participate in Tablescape Thursday on Thursdays in addition to Thrifty Thursday. The host of that fun carnival is the Hostess with the Mostess...Susan of Between Naps on the Backporch. That's no lie or exaggeration, each week I visit Susan's porch and just long to be a guest at any of her tablescapes...especially those held on the porch.
Today and in the coming weeks I thought I would feature some tablescapes from landmarks in my hometown/city (metro) of Birmingham, Alabama. The photos are part of a cookbook called "Table of Contents" a cookbook by the Junior League of Birmingham. If you are interested in purchasing a cookbook you can find more info online at their website: http://www.jlbonline.com/
Today's tablescape comes to you from Birmingham Botanical Gardens:
