My Thrifty Thursday post today.... This mirror.
Can you guess what it is made of?
Times up! Magazine pages. How's that for recycling and repurposing?
(Constructed much like the sheet music wreath, just a tighter roll)
I love thrifting...with a purpose!
And what a statement it makes!

Tablescape Thursday
Now, onto to Tablescape Thursday, which is hosted by Susan of Between Naps on the Porch.
Today, because I am still trying to get caught up from weeks from vacation, I am rerunning a fun independance tablescape (that is also thrifty!) from the past....
Today's thrifty Treasure came from a yard sale. For $5.00 I purchased the Blue and natural picnic basket. Inside were 4 plates, 4 cups, a four place setting of flatware and four mugs. All pieces were individually wrapped, still sealed and never used. The settings are all made from a hard durable plastic. Instead of using the flatware though, I brought my own silverware and put it in a mason jar. I do not like flimsey flatware.
My table covering is a quilt, purchased from JC Penny.
Perfect! For a Bloggeritaville Thrifty Thursday post, as well as a Celebration Tablescape Thursday celebrating Independance Day!

Cute table - love the tablecloth. Also love the mirror. Great post.
Your mirror is AMAZING. My son and his wife have one on a much smaller and simpler scale, and I love it, too. I have been looking for one for ages, but have not been so lucky as you all. It is beautiful. I’m really enjoying your Thrifty Thursdays.....hugs, Genie
I am so excited to read your no mayo recipes! We are going to a picnic on the 4th and their son is allergic to egg, which means no mayo! I am thinking your recipe will be perfect :)
Your table cloth looks great! Quilts do make the prettiest tablecloth and they don't blow around like a thin tablecloth!!
Have a great 4th!!
Wendy
Thanks for the opportunity to participate in TT.
Creative use of old magazines! The mirror is very festive looking.
And speaking of festive...your Independence Day table certainly is too and the menu sounds DELISH! Yum! :)
I saw these mirrors made with magazines back in 70's. Thought they were cool waaaay back then. LOL How fun to have one now!
Cute tablescape for the 4th, too. I am on a kick finding picnic baskets these days. Yours in blue is just too fun.
:-) Sue
I love the sunburst mirror..., a great take on a classic design, and an awesome recycling project!!
I LOVE the mirror! Thanks for sharing it!
I love that mirror. Thanks for hosting again. Have a awesome 4th!
I adore your patriotic spirit. It is red, white and bleutiful.
I hope you'll stop by for a bbq on a white tablecloth. :)
Always a pleasure to visit Bloggeritaville. Wishing you a wonderful and liberating holiday weekend.
Hi Leigh. This is my first time joining in the Thrifty Thursday fun.
I love your tablescape. Very pretty and patriotic. What a lovely $4 treasure you got. I like to keep picnic things in the car (plates, cups, blanket), so I'm always ready for a spur of the moment picnic.
Have a lovely day,
Patti (Fill My Cup with Beauty)
Love, love, love the mirror!!
Thanks again for the great linky party.

LOVE the mirror! Gotta make me one of these! Just gorgeous, you clever woman.
The mirror is wonderful, but it's the sweet little settings with the canning jars and utensils that made me swoon.
Hi Leigh -- I guessed "magazines" for the mirror right away -- my daughter Alida gave me two dishes made of rolled up candy wrappers and I keep pencils and our TV remotes in them.
They are so cute!
Love the happy 4th table -- flags and quilt and Mason jars and all.
Have a good holiday! -- Cass
Leigh thanks for another great party. I hope you will come by and check out my FAUX DRIFTWOOD SAILBOAT--knock off White Flower Farmhouse

Nothing thrifty at the WhistleStop... I just wanted to wish y'all a happy 4th. I hope you get to enjoy all your favorites.
Leigh, thank you so much for visiting my blog! I enjoyed reading all of your comments. I actually laughed out loud, not too loud it is 1:15 AM, Mr. EA is asleep! I have already visited your blog many times and I'm a follower. But I haven't checked out "More Leigh". I will do that, well later today. It's funny but I had already searched Consigning Interiors on your blog a while back. I had noticed a picture you took of something you bought and it was from MY booth!!! So I decided to see if there were more. Told you, I stalked you for a while before I become a "follower" and made things legal.
I saw you this afternoon when you were buying the cart. I kept thinking, she really looks familiar, now I know why. I might can hook you up with a "B" and an "E" of the brass letters. I'll check and let you know.
Once again thank you so much for being a customer, all the commenting and especially for loving "Lulu". Is it because she's "rich"? :-)
Elizabeth Ann
Love that mirror!!! Are there any instructions for making it?
Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
