Thrifty Thursday #70, Plus a Tablescape

Hi! It's Thrifty Thursday! I am your host, Leigh. Thank you so much for stopping by and additional thanks to those who also participate in Thrifty Thursday! I am most delighted to have you join in..for it's YOU who makes it a "show and tell party". I also participate in Tablescape Thursday the host of that fun carnival is the Hostess with the Mostess...Susan of Between Naps on the Backporch. That's no lie or exaggeration, each week I visit Susan's porch and just long to be a guest at any of her tablescapes...especially those held on the porch.

(You can click on any pictures for a closer view)

*Thrifty Thursday takes place each Thursday and is hosted here at Tales from Bloggeritaville, but the party is a progressive one, visit the links to see all the Thrifty Thursday links to see the thrifty treasures participating bloggers have to share.

*Don't forget to copy and paste the Thrifty Thursday logo button to your computer so you can add it to your side bar and your Thrifty Thursday post. That way visitors will know that your are participating in Thrifty Thursday.

Today I am repurposing......My neices rainboots (they used to belong to my daughters) blooms with pink petunias, perfect for summertime! How's that for a thrifty planter? (Be sure and add a couple holes to the bottom for drainage)

Tablescape Thursday
Now, onto to Tablescape Thursday, which is hosted by Susan of Between Naps on the Porch.

I posted my Sesame Noodle Pasta Salad recipe earlier this week (Foodie Friday for tomorrow). I thought I would do a tablescape fitting for it too.  This one includes dishes I picked up from At Home in Homewood, Al. They are pottery type dishes with an asian flair. I choose neautral colors, earthy coastal colors....because that is what works best in my home. I added some wooden candlesticks and wha-la-instant ambiance!

Just a reminder...My Friday post regarding the Miranda Lambert song also touched alot of you. I received several emails and comments of your childhood homes and how your childhood home "built" you. What a beautiful song, what a beautiful sentiment. Scrappy Dee left a comment about her grandmothers home and how meaningful and special that it was to her. She also suggested that I have a Mr. McLinky party where we could share our special house that built "you". I would love to hear a special memory of growing up in your special place, or perhaps it is your home now. Share photographs too!

We will have the "House that Built Me" Party on Friday June 18!!!!

I will post Mr. McLinky on Thursday night June 17th, following Thrifty Thursday. I hope to have the link up by 8PM, assuming there are no linky issues. So, join me won't you, in sharing your special memories. Think of it as a progressive house warming party. That's exactly what it is!

HUGS! Hope to see you tomorrow, but not before you leave some "roadmap" love!

Thanks to all of you for stopping by and participating in today's Thrifty Thursday.
I am also linking today to Linda's Coastal Charm.

Please use Mr. Linky below to link up your blog. Please leave a comment after linking. I love to hear from you.I encourage you all to spread the love and visit the other thrifty Thursday participants, for that's what half the fun is. Aside from seeing a cool treasure it's making friends!
Thank you, all, FRIENDS! I appreciate YOU!

Hi Leigh,
What a great idea for a party. Sadly, there is no actual house that built me. Just the people I lived with as we moved around. Hmmmm how do I show that in a post? But I will come back to see what everyone else has to say about their childhood homes. It should be very interesting!
Thanks for hosting TT again, hope it's okay, I've got TWO posts this time. I'm just a busy gal this week!!!
I love your tablescape, the colors are so calming - perfect for a summer meal.

I can not play Thrifty Thursday this week, altho I'll hop around visiting. Love the boots. I just picked up a tiny pair for the same reason and DH did not even give me a strange look!
All the pics I have of the house that built me are very old (as am I!) and stored somewhere. Organization is not my thing.
Besides, as old as I am, I am still in the process of being built.

HI Leigh. I love your neutral but beautiful tablescape....very very nice. YOu always do the prettiest things with your tablescapes...I haven't seen a clunker yet! hahaha...
I also enjoyed your Wednesday post. I'm only an hour from the beach but never make it because of home responsibilities...but oh how I dream of it!
Hope you are doing well my friend. I always love visiting you!

Hi Leigh!

LOVE the boots-as-planters idea. How adorable! Now I wish I had not given my girls' yellow rubber puddle jumpers away years ago. Dang.

Beautiful table, too -- gorgeous soft colors. I love blue and browns/beiges together; that was my first color scheme when I got married.

Beautiful!
And you've got me thinking about houses, now....
