Thrifty Thursday #69, Plus a Tablescape

Hi! It's Thrifty Thursday! I am your host, Leigh. Thank you so much for stopping by and additional thanks to those who also participate in Thrifty Thursday! I am most delighted to have you join in..for it's YOU who makes it a "show and tell party". I also participate in Tablescape Thursday the host of that fun carnival is the Hostess with the Mostess...Susan of Between Naps on the Backporch. That's no lie or exaggeration, each week I visit Susan's porch and just long to be a guest at any of her tablescapes...especially those held on the porch.

(You can click on any pictures for a closer view)

*Thrifty Thursday takes place each Thursday and is hosted here at Tales from Bloggeritaville, but the party is a progressive one, visit the links to see all the Thrifty Thursday links to see the thrifty treasures participating bloggers have to share.

*Don't forget to copy and paste the Thrifty Thursday logo button to your computer so you can add it to your side bar and your Thrifty Thursday post. That way visitors will know that your are participating in Thrifty Thursday.

These vintage crates are all the rage now at Pottery Barn.

I found mine at various garage sales....

Mine cost me anywhere from a couple bucks to 15.00. Mine are originals. I see them often at antique shops, some yard sales. Keep your eyes peeled if you want to invest in some too. They are perfect for stoage of all kind of things, from bath towels to DVD's (which is how I use mine. I hate to see all those DVD covers displayed).
Hang 'em on a wall for a folk art type art piece, or use them as a shadow box to feature shells, rocks, etc. They are really useful. LOVE my crates. You will too!

Tablescape Thursday
Now, onto to Tablescape Thursday, which is hosted by Susan of Between Naps on the Porch.

How is this for incorporating Thrifty Thursday and Tablescape Thursday? How about vintage crates used at the table. Below it is for storage, but they can be used for toting plates to an outdoor table, toting snacks or used as a serving tray to serve a pitcher of sweet tea and glasses if ice. The possibilites are endless!

I invite you to stop by my food blog, PLATES & PLACES for Foodie Friday.

Thanks to all of you for stopping by and participating in today's Thrifty Thursday.
I am also linking today to Linda's Coastal Charm.

Please use Mr. Linky below to link up your blog. Please leave a comment after linking. I love to hear from you.I encourage you all to spread the love and visit the other thrifty Thursday participants, for that's what half the fun is. Aside from seeing a cool treasure it's making friends!

I love old crates and like to use them in everyday ways. I have one that was my hubby's fathers that he had when he was a kid.

Have a great day Leigh!

I have seen numerous soda bottle crates/cases recently. The ones that are in great shape are definitely expensive. I like your Pepsi cases a lot-How fun to decorate with and accessorize. Thanks for hosting the party, Leigh!

Oh, vintage crates! Love them. I have bought and sold them at my antique booth many years back, but I don't have any at the moment...still love them though :)

Your TT group just gets bigger and bigger! I love it. Congratulations on having such a wonderful group.
