Thrifty Thursday # 56, plus a Tablescape

Hi! It's Thrifty Thursday! I am your host, Leigh. Thank you so much for stopping by and additional thanks to those who also participate in Thrifty Thursday! I am most delighted to have you join in..for it's YOU who makes it a "show and tell party". I also participate in Tablescape Thursday the host of that fun carnival is the Hostess with the Mostess...Susan of Between Naps on the Backporch. That's no lie or exaggeration, each week I visit Susan's porch and just long to be a guest at any of her tablescapes...especially those held on the porch.

(You can click on any pictures for a closer view)

*Thrifty Thursday takes place each Thursday and is hosted here at Tales from Bloggeritaville, but the party is a progressive one, visit the links to see all the Thrifty Thursday links to see the thrifty treasures participating bloggers have to share.

*Don't forget to copy and paste the Thrifty Thursday logo button to your computer so you can add it to your side bar and your Thrifty Thursday post. That way visitors will know that your are participating in Thrifty Thursday.

Last week we had almost 90 contributors. I hope you will take the time to visit everyone by coming back tomorrow and on Friday to look for any new links. Thanks to everyone who participants, be it as a contributor or as a visitor, I am appreciative. YOU make it a party!

You must know by now that I love a thrifty find.  I used to have an antique booth that fed into my fun for finding wonderful treasures. If I couldn't find a place to put it in my own home, or when I wanted to make room for a new piece, I would put it into my booth. Well, the Antique Gallery closed down to become a dry storage business. Ironic, huh?

Now, I have a basement full of treasures that I simply do not have space for. A couple years ago I actually had an Etsy store, but I never utilized it. Now, I do plan on building an Etsy shop. In the meantime....I am looking to clearout some of the thrifty treasures before I  publish to my Etsy shop (which I will share with you when I do)

I wanted to offer some of my thrifty treasures to my readers at thrifty (make room in the basement) prices.

I have much more things that what I could fit into a post, but thought I would begin with these offerings. If you are interested, email me or leave a message with an address and I will be in touch. I hope to send a paypal invoice to anyone interested in buying.
First comments get first dibs, please let me know what you might be interested in.

And now, my thrifty Treasures that I hope to sell......

These two painted mask I had great hopes using, when Big Daddy and I made a permant move to the beach. I thought they would make fun decor for outdoor use. But they would also add alot of character to any indoor decor too, with their muted and chipped painted faces.
2 Wooden Individual Painted Faces $24.00 for both, plus S/H

A ray of sunshine! It's what I thought when I laid eyes on this bright yellow vase with a deep coral colored tulips on both sides. The vase is an intique from Japan and is imprinted "Japan" on the bottom.
$8.00, plus S/H

Set of 2 small trunks. The smaller one is painted black and red with silver nailheads, the larger is brown with gold nailheads (brown one is a jewlry box). Clever storage pieces. My son liked to use them in his room to store his "pirates" in.
Set of 2 $8.00 , plus S/H

When I first purchased this gorgeous full-queen size chenille bedding, I thougth of all the things I could make from it. Make? It does have a 12x12 inch section that has several holes in it, but it is a true vinatge/antique bedding, so in good condition otherwise. A whitebackground allows the pink and greens to just pop with vibracy. I can see pillows, ornaments, curtains, stuffed decor balls, etc made from this bedding.
$35.00 for full-queen chenille bedspread, plus S/H

Closeup of the small damaged area:

Purse with cell phone case. I do not think it is leather, but it has the look of western style leather. Very clean (inside and out) and polished looking.
$8.00,plus S/H

Very old wooden candleabra. Has five arms. Very well made. $8.00, plus S/H (SOLD)

Easter "glitter/sugar" houses. Set of 3-$12.00 for set, plus S/H (SOLD)

Vintage Esquire Footman wooden carryall. Used to carry shoe polishes and accessories, but would make a wonderful carry for paint brushes and paints for a craft room. Or perhaps a place to store vinatge silver flatware.

A closer look at the organized space

Vintage Esquire Footman wooden carryall $24.00, plus S/H

Elements Weathered Bird Key Holder, comes in original box. Does not include birds nest. $10.00plus S/H

I fell in love with this original artwork rooster. He is painted so colorfully on canvas with black and white checkerboard framing him. Piece is ab 3x2 feet. If interested in exact measurements, I am happy to give them to you. Such personality in this guy, I only hate he didn't match anything in my home, so he needs to go to a home who will proudly feature his beauty. Needs to be framed. Rooster Canvas $6.00 plus S/H

...Priced cheap, for you to give a good home.

Now, onto to Tablescape Thursday, which is hosted by Susan of Between Naps on the Porch.

This is a bit of Spring. Easter meets St Patricks Day? Cabbage leaf plates with a small birds nest in the center for each guest. "Tortoise Shell" glassware. Everything in my tablescape is courtosey of Harmony Landing in Homewood, Al.

What is a tablescape without the food? I invite you to stop by my food blog, PLATES & PLACES, tomorrow for Foodie Friday!

DIBS DIBS DIBS on the Easter houses! They are just too cute, and right up my alley. You've got so many treasures, Leigh, I would jump at the chance if you ever had a yard sale (not that that's a hint or anything - wink wink!)
