Thrifty Thursday # 53, plus a Tablescape

Hi! It's Thrifty Thursday! I am your host, Leigh. Thank you so much for stopping by and additional thanks to those who also participate in Thrifty Thursday! I am most delighted to have you join in..for it's YOU who makes it a "show and tell party". I also participate in Tablescape Thursday the host of that fun carnival is the Hostess with the Mostess...Susan of Between Naps on the Backporch. That's no lie or exaggeration, each week I visit Susan's porch and just long to be a guest at any of her tablescapes...especially those held on the porch.

(You can click on any pictures for a closer view)

*Thrifty Thursday takes place each Thursday and is hosted here at Tales from Bloggeritaville, but the party is a progressive one, visit the links to see all the Thrifty Thursday links to see the thrifty treasures participating bloggers have to share.

*Don't forget to copy and paste the Thrifty Thursday logo button to your computer so you can add it to your side bar and your Thrifty Thursday post. That way visitors will know that your are participating in Thrifty Thursday.

A trip to one of my favorite stores, Three Sheets in Homewood Alabama, turned up my thrifty find...with an even thriftier idea/suggestion.
I purchased this bird print that is secured between two glass pieces inside a aged frame for $13.00.

You can see here how you can see my paint color behind the glass.

Here you can see the aged frame.

Can't buy it at Three Sheets? Make your own. Thrift store frames are a dime a dozen, literally. Be creative and try your hand at aging your frame using differnt colors and paints. You can find sme beautiful vintage inspired prints from birds to bees and everyting in between online and free to download. A quick search will yeild many sites. Glass is also very inexpensive. Places like Michaels can custom cut glass to fit your frame, if you don't already have it.

Being thrifty is also about being creative. But you already know that! I have seen your creative and thrifty inspired creations. Each week YOU inspire ME!
Thankyou for that!

Now, onto to Tablescape Thursday, which is hosted by Susan of Between Naps on the Porch.

Who is ready for Spring? Did I hear a resounding "I am"?
I know many of you are ready for some spring after the record snowfalls that have been recorded this year acorss the US. This table is reflective of that....it's all about SPRING! And what syas spring better than the color green? Like the green that I can see peeking out in my lawn, this table focus' on green grass, green and pink bulb flowers, green limes in the vases and green artichokes.

What is a tablescape without the food? I invite you to stop by my food blog, PLATES & PLACES, tomorrow for Foodie Friday!

Before you go onto visit other Thrifty Thursday Participants below, I wanted to invite you to follow the Tales from Bloggeritaville fan page on facebook. You can do that by clicking (here or)  the Tales from Bloggeritaville FB button on my sidebar towards the top. I love your bird print in the old frame, I'll be on the lookout for more thrift store frames! I had 3 projects started this week and 2 of them involved thrift store frames! Maybe I'll get them done before next week-this new "baby" is cramping my style!
