I want to thank each and everyone of you that played along in Thrifty Thursday yesterday! I am in awe of all the thrifty shoppers and the treasures that are uncovered and loved once again. If you didn't get the opportunity to, I encourage you to visit the participants. So many had such great finds and ideas of what they planned to do with their thrifty "new" treasures!
Thanks to all who linked up, all who paid visits and all who showed some comment love. I am most appreciative!
Speaking of thrifty....I got to thinking of my love for spray paint (cheap fix for all that is ugly in the world) and saw a real thrifty makeover was necessary in my yard (one of those uglies).
If imitation is the greatest form of flattery, then
Ms. Rue of Rue's peanut Butter and Jelly Life should be gloating. And gleeful. And filled with pride. Because, really, I just am a wanna be of
Rue's.
Rue's and so many others of you in which I visit your blogs and find daily inspiration. Be it attitude (the key to life), Fun living, great recipes or home decor. Really....I am a constant learner-and wanna be. I take it all in. And I try. And many times I fail. But I try.
This being said, I want to show you something that
Rue featured on her post for the Porch Party earlier this week....

Isn't her porch just precious and charming? Her entire home is, so if you haven't had the pleasure I encourage you to drop by. But look closer, do you see that bench? Is it not adorable?

Adorable. Rue painted it. She gave it some love with just some paint. Simple.
It is not like my ugly frail bench in my overgrown section of my yard. Mine looked so sad. So neglected. So abused and misused. It certainly never encouraged me to sit a spell on it.
So, what was a girl to do? Live with a sad bench? One that is overlooked in the jungle that is the corner of my yard?
Nooooooo. Not I!
This girl marched her (
insert Queen song) fanny up to Ace Hardware and purchased myself a happy and bright red can of indoor/outdoor
spraypaint. And in less than fifteen minutes, I could almost see my bench's attitude change.

It was happy. It was bright. It was cheerful. And it beckoned passersby to feel the same way. And perhaps to, well, "Come Sit a Spell" and take in the day.
And all was right in the overgrown garden, aside from a future round of weekend maintenance.

I hope that you have a lovely weekend. One in which you can "
Sit a Spell" and take in the views from your garden.
Leave me a roadmap! And Sincere Thanks for stopping by Bloggeritaville! I am most appreciative of each and everyone of you for taking the time. Thank you, my friend!
