Thrifty Thursday # 40, Win $200 Bucks-plus a Tablescape

Hi! It's Thrifty Thursday! I am your host, Leigh. Thank you so much for stopping by and additional thanks to those who also participate in Thrifty Thursday! I am most delighted to have you join in..for it's YOU who makes it a "show and tell party". I also participate in Tablescape Thursday the host of that fun carnival is the Hostess with the Mostess...Susan of Between Naps on the Backporch. That's no lie or exaggeration, each week I visit Susan's porch and just long to be a guest at any of her tablescapes...especially those held on the porch.
(You can click on any pictures for a closer view)
*If you do not know what Thrifty Thursday is or need more info on Thrifty Thursday you can go here.

*Don't forget to copy and paste the Thrifty Thursday logo button to your computer so you can add it to your side bar and your Thrifty Thursday post. That way visitors will know that your are participating in Thrifty Thursday.

This past week I guess I have been in a nesting mode as the chill falls in the air. Some people spring clean, and then there are those that do so in the fall. Out with the old in with the new? Nooo. Not so fast.
I shared a picture recently of the enlarged envelope that was framed. And last week I shared some sheet music that I found for free and framed (turns out it did belong to my friend's grandmother, so it has some history to it for me), well this past week I have been clearing and cleaning out. In the process keeping things that really hold sentimentailty and finding a way to incorporate that into my home decor. I want my home to be a personal space, one where things have history. A space that is timeless because of the contents.
This is week I am having a Indian tapestry framed that my sister in law's parents gave to me. It was actually used as a "dawry" of sorts by her family. A gift was given to each female family  member in the acceptance of my sister in law to our family(myself, my MIL and my GIL) . I cannot wait to show it to you framed! It's beautiful!
I have been going through old family photo archives and am having some photographs enlarged for frames I already have, ones that need a face lift. I like to do that every few years to keep those things fresh. Rotate things out.
Decorating your home should be fun and satisfying. But most important it should reflect your personality and your life. What is more thrifty than to shop your own home?
And what am I doing with things I don't need?  I am adding them to my Baby's Gone Shopping Blog. For example, these wooden hand carved rooster napkin rings.

Perfect for some of you tablescapers. I haven't posted them on there yet, but I hope to have them up by the end of the weekend. Keep checking, as there will be many things (lots holiday related as well) that will be appearing.
Now, onto to Tablescape Thursday, which is hosted by Susan of Between Naps on the Porch. The followig images were captured at a store in Homewood, Called Harmony Landing, who had a beautiful tablescape set fot Halloween. Forgive me for they are not my own tabelscape, but I wanted to share the beauty and decor...

Hi -- Thank you for inviting me to the party -- or at least I hope I was invited, otherwise that means I'm crashing (haha). I listed a couple of items which were VERY thrifty. I hope you enjoy them.
