Thrifty Thursday # 37, plus a Tablescape

Hi! It's Thrifty Thursday! I am your host, Leigh. Thank you so much for stopping by and additional thanks to those who also participate in Thrifty Thursday! I am most delighted to have you join in..for it's YOU who makes it a "show and tell party". I also participate in Tablescape Thursday the host of that fun carnival is the Hostess with the Mostess...Susan of Between Naps on the Backporch. That's no lie or exaggeration, each week I visit Susan's porch and just long to be a guest at any of her tablescapes...especially those held on the porch.

*Please do not add your link below until your Thrifty Thursday post is actually published to your blog.
My Thrifty Thursday today is a double post, for it is also a tablescape.

These images are from Country Living Magazine, but they offer great inspiration for a terrific Halloween display:

Remember last week I shared some of these crows too. I purchased mine at The Dollar Tree.

My local thrift store has a special section devoted to seasonal items. It is chocked full of miscellaneous items. I purchased two "decor" skulls there last week that I used also in my Halloween display on my buffet. All of these items are vintage items.  Shop your thrift store, ebay, and anyplace you can find inexpensive decor. I also saw some great items at Old Time Pottery. Use what you have and mix it with what you can find for a great eclectic display.

Tablescape is hosted by the lovely, Susan of Between Naps on the Porch
What is a tablescape without the food? I invite you to stop by my food blog, PLATES & PLACES, tomorrow for Foodie Friday!

Our Dollar Store had NOTHING exciting for Halloween. I want a new store! Micheal's does already have somethings at 80% off though:)

Are you practicing your dance steps??

Hi Leigh,
Thank you for hosting Thrifty Thursday, I'm joining for the first time this week, and I'm also a new follower of your site!
The Halloween tablescape is fun, but I love the collection of vintage Halloween items on your chair. Those things are great! It must be so much fun to decorate with them each year.
Hope you can stop by for a visit sometime.
Have a great day.

Love all the vintage Halloween things. I'll forever wonder what happened to my jack-o-lantern paper mache treat bucket that I carried each Halloween as a child. Each time I see one of these vintage or reproductions, I think of the one I had. Happy Day to you! ~ Sarah

What a fun halloween tablescape inspiration this is -- I'm looking around from some "friendly" halloween items to tablescape a fun dinner with our 1 year old twin grandgirls -- hoping this will become an annual event!

That's quite a lot of good ideas! It's always better to mix in the old stuff with the new - stretches the wallet as well as the space to store everything :)

Great inspiration pics, Leigh! I wish I have an outdoor I can play around with. This summer and Fall is proving to be very wet this year for us here.

Enjoy your Thursday! And of course, love your Thrifty find!

While I don't decorate "scary" for Halloween, your table looks so so cute. I have a funny witch I put on the front door Halloween morniing..other than that, we just use pumpkins, mostly.
I also have a Halloween tablescape for next week...
