Today is Outdoor Wednesday, hosted by Susan of Southern Daydreamer. Today is a fun one here in Bloggeritaville. My aunt and uncle are currently on a two week stay abroad. They are cruising throughout Italy, Greece and Croatia. It's my dream vacation, which they did invite Big Daddy to come along-but we are still waiting for our money tree to bloom so we had to decline. We are, however getting to live vicariously through Buzz Lightyear and his traveling companion, Rabbit.
My cousin Angie ( who has been receiving my aunt and uncles emails) has been sharing their travels with my family as well. I thought it would make a wonderful Outdoor Wednesday post.....
SO buckle up and enjoy the ride, and live like I have been (something I never thought I would say) through Buzz Lightyear....

"Grandma and Papa Tina went on a trip to Venice and Greece and have taken my little cousin's Buzz Lightyear along for the ride. They are sending photos from pretty cool places every day!
This is a great idea to begin teaching your kids about other places, cultures and travel.
Pretty awesome photos. Check it out! -Ang"
I have seen this done before with *GNOMES*, teddy bears, gingerbread men and other sentimental items. My son's class once participated in a similar project. I LOVE it! It really is a great way to explore the world and learn about differnt cultures and places, all from the comfort of home.
I hope you enjoy the messages and travels by way of Grandma and Grandpa Tina......
"At sea all day today... we found some people to play bridge with! Here is Buzz last night enjoying a beautiful sunset on the Mediterranean from the railing of our ship. In the background is the city of Katakolon.
love, grandma and papa."
"Dear Christian,
Here is Buzz in Athens at the stadium of the first modern Olympics built in 1896. It is still being used today for other events and was used for track and field at the Olympics held here in 2004. Maybe some day you will play here too!
love,
grandma"
Dear Christian,
Here is Buzz in Mykonos, Greece. It is a small island and all the houses and buildings are white. The streets are very narrow and they are lined with shops. I bought a scarf. There are also a lot of cats here! We ate outside by the sea and had squid.
love,
grandma
Little Bunny likes being on vacation too!!!
love,
Buzz Lightyear visited Croatia on Sunday. We visited the largest city in Croatia called Split. We visited the Diocletian Palace. Love, grandma and papa tina....
Dear Christian,
Here is Buzz Lightyear in front of the Parthenon. It is one of several very very old buildings at the Acropolis (high city) in Athens Greece.
Love,
Grandma

I LOVE these posts!!! I'll be sure to show them to Brunhilda and Borris, who will smile knowing smiles as they remember how FUN it is to travel to exotic places (northern Wisconsin???) stowed away in someone's purse.
Tell Grandpa and Grandma Tina BRAVO for a job well done. Tell the Brunhilda and Borris heartily approve.
