If you didn't get a chance to drop by everyone's blog's yesterday, you still can! See the links on yesterday's post. For a sneak peek, Just look at a very small portion of what treasures could be found:
Sherry blew my mind with her creative (and thrifty) workspace! Who couldn't feel inspired sitting at this home office? All on a budget!
Using her PINK hammer, Cindy from Cottage Instincts crafted this creative board, that has lots of character and characters. All this and no need for a hubby's help. Yesssssssss!
While over at Cindy's be sure and enter her giveaway. Handmade Soaps. Yum, lucious, wonderful.
Kristin of the Goat, made these sweet "chalkboard" tags for her highschool reunion attendees for mere pennies! Cute as pie!
Joan at the Potting Shed-Anything Goes Here made these adorable skeleton key necklaces. She invited shoppers to "add your own junk to them" to personalize the necklaces. They are For Sale!
Now Ms. Dixie in from the naughy sounding, French Lique,Texas (pronouced, French Lick) found this pair of real silver for a mere $5.00 at Market Days. Gorgeous!
Gina at the Shabby Cottage made my day yesterday when she sent me this email:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Hiya girlie!-------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't know if I ever told you about my online store (ya know, the one you inspired me to open?) It's kinda empty right now, but I've got a few things in there. You can find it HERE. I also have a post up with a few vintage finds where you can purchase directly from my blog. The Vintage Sale link is HERE.
And, I don't know if I have ever thanked you for all your support, inspiration and just plain ol' friendship. Isn't it amazing how we get so attached to our bloggy buddies. You seem like a friend I've had forever, yet we've never met. (Yeah, we really need to do lunch one day!)
Hope you're having a FABULOUS day!
Love & hugs,
Gina

Gina, Thank you so much! That is one of the sweetest emails I have ever gotten! I am so appreciative. I cannot imagine that I have ever been inspirational, for I receive so much inspiration, as I have said over and over, from all of you-my blogger friends! So I am touched that someone might find me inspiratinal every once in a while. Why though, can't it be my kids-why can't my never ending household chore duties inspire them to chip in? But I digress. Thank you Gina, and thank you all for your creative inspiration and talents and most of all your friendships. I am most blessed by each one of you. Thank you!
I checked out Gina's wares for sale...and I have made my list of wants. Now I have to save (though everything is very reasonable!). Great job, Gina! I am so glad that you are using your creativeness and thriftiness to create lovelies that others will also love and be inspired by when using in their own homes. Now that's talent! I love it!
Finally, a challenge for each of you this weekend: to Pay It Forward. Be is buying coffee for the lady behind you in the Starbucks line, or the Mom in the drive through who has Kids Meals, Let someone out in Traffic, Surprise Someone with Supper this weekend, write and mail a note of encouragement or "thinking of you today" -whatever. And most importantly, do it with a Smile. You never know what burdens someone else carries, a simple smile could be the light in their day!
I would love to hear your pay it forward stories this weekend and share on Monday.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Get out and L*I*V*E it. Really LIVE it.
HUGS!
Sing Loud & Dance.

Great post Leigh, You really went all out there showing us what some of these thrifty bloggers have biught and made. A wonderful idea for a meme and encouraging too!! It sure makes TT look fun. I have so many things at the lake and I forgot to take pictures because I was under the weather. I'm determined though. I bought two chairs for my kitchen that I fixed up myself and I am working on something else. Here at home I am sort of at a standstill with a trip looming in 2 days.
I think the email from Gina was very sweet and you are so worthy of her comliments. You just have a way with people and a sparkle in your personality that comes out in your blogging. How lucky your family and friends are to have you.
Have a great weekend, girlfriend!!
xoxo

Thanks so much for the shout out and featuring me! I had so much fun participating (still getting thru the links...I'll get there!).
Looking forward to reading your blog daily and getting to 'know' you. :o)
peace!

Hi Leigh - Did not join in this time (again) since where I have been shopping lately - no real bargains.
Have a great weekend.
Glenda
Great post and GREAT idea of pay it forward. We could all use a little more of that in this world! I miss you. Hope we can catch up soon
You are to sweet to put the photo of my new creative area in your post. Your comments were so nice. I have enjoyed popting on Thursdays. I think I'll share the transformation of the rest of my office next week! Blessings...Sherry
Aw! I got your 'pay it forward' the other day and it made my day! I love the way YOU come through on your blog.
Awesome items shared today. Great finds!
Love ya Leigh!
Thanks Leigh! I'm so glad you enjoyed the Chalkboard signs. I can't wait to show off how we used them this weekend -- that'll be next week, I'm sure.
You picked out some winners that's for sure! I'm really enjoying this new Friday post that you're doing.
Thanks!!
Kristin - The Goat
You definately are an inspiration, Leigh! Thanks for reminding us to pay it forward in the real world too. I've had two instances recently where women in line in front of me at the grocery store had trouble with ATM cards and had to leave a whole cart of items behind. Both times I wanted so bad to just say "Let me take care of that for you!" but I couldn't because the bills were over $100 and I just couldn't do that. I CAN afford a lunch or two so if anyone sees a grey van with a sticker that says "don't blame me, the Lab is driving" you might want to pull in behind me!
I won't sing or dance though, that's just too crazy!
Dawn
oh I love Pay it Forward...I'm trying to do that on my blog...sometimes I have so much going on tho that it all becomes a jumble...I did just pay it forward tho, thanks for the reminder :-)
Sarah
Good reminder on the Pay It Forward. I had someone buy my coffee at Starbucks a while back. Made my day, so I did it for someone else. Hope it made their day, too.
I love the Play it Forward Idea. I will keep in mind while I am at the Flea Market this weekend as see what opportunities arise.
Thanks for featuring my skeleton key necklaces. I really appreciate your ongoing support. xo Joan
Leigh, you are such a sweetie pie!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Hey Leigh !
Yes, I totally missed it (a belated thanks....) - I went back to work last week and I haven't blogged as I have been bogged (blogged bogged - funny..) down this last week or so....I do plan to join you again - and I always love to visit everyone...I believe if I participate in posting then I got to visit everyone - even if it takes 3 days, LOL !
Hey, you asked about those laminate floors and water....if you spill something and don't wipe it up immediately , it goes in between the cracks and the the wood expands....not good cuz then you have swollen areas..I already have a couple of small ones...I think I would have done tile in the kitchen next time and then maybe saved the money for wood for any other area....just my 2 cents.
I have many thrifty things yet to post - only 3 more weeks until I can be lifting, then I will be more active :o)
Kammy
I am sooo glad that you loved my email. It just made my day to see this post.
I can do nothing but sit here and smile.....
Love ya!
Gina
Leigh,
Thanks for the mention. I enjoy visiting everyone and enjoy them stopping by to sit a spell at Lakewood. I'm hoping you will be able to participate in Creative Cafe when it is up and running. Thanks again!
Living it up at Lakewood,
Cindy
You complete me. Oh wait, wrong movie, you do inspire me!
We are off to Chicago tomorrow, but I will try to pay it forward while in the Midwest. Although I think traveling with Art's 80 year old mother might count as carrying it forward.....No, she is a dear, so it will be a pleasure.
I love seeing all the thrifty finds, Leigh. Now, why can't I ever find a pair of silver candlesticks for $5 like Dixie?..Christine
I'm feeling bad cause i hardly have had a chance to visit anyone on these special days the past 3 weeks.
Maybe i should stop writing posts for a bit, and just visit.
Just don't want people to come by my place and see nothing new.
What a dilemma. =0/
Do really appreciate you hosting this Leigh, and I will try to do better.
Have a great weekend.
