Outdoor Wednesday-Plus a Reminder of Thrifty Thursday!

Welcome to Bloggeritaville! Today is Outdoor Wednesday! Outdoor Wednesday is hosted by the most gracious- Susan of Southern Daydreamer. For my OW post, I was thinking of a photo that I took when I visited Cullman recently.
This old truck was on the side of the road in a lot, I asked my mother, who was driving to turn around so I could photograph it. I think it has alot of character, and love the colors in the photograph.
I have been playing catch up , visiting blogs and am so impressed with the fall decor that is already going up!  It's the blog's out there that give me such inspiration! I have also been pouring through the newest decor magazines. Just look at these idea's and photographs below all from Better Homes and Gardens...
Both sophisticated and country, this white pumpkin has been elevated to designer status with a swoosh of black paint and a unique footed cake stand.
Forget about fancy faces and pumpkin patterns. Instead, go for a graphic look with easy-to-create drilled holes. Find out how to make it in this link.Tips for Drilling Pumpkins
And who doesn't love simplicity? Grab a few seasonal squash and garnish with a few flower heads and dried or artificial seed pods and lightly arrange on a narrow tray for a unstaged look. How easy!
And for someone who is like me...who cannot figureout the best arrangement for their home furnishings. Surely I am not alone? Ok, so I am...I have seen your blogs! You know what to do, but for someone who needs help, I love this new site-Visit B&G new Decorating virtual Showroom
Be sure to be thinking about your Thrifty Thursday post this week, drop back by this evening (Wed) to link up! I look forward each week to seeing what everyone has to share...and it is such fun visiting old friends and making new ones. Welcome to our new participants this past Thursday!
I invite you to visit my food & recipe blog, Plates and Places. If you missed out on the family recipe for buttermilk biscuits- you will certainly want to check it out.

Be sure and leave me a "roadmap" to your place (aka, comment). I hope you will drop back by tomorrow for Thrifty Thursday. Have a wonderful day, friend!

Those pumpkins are neat! I love some of the unusual ideas people have on how to carve them. I'm off to check out the decorating showroom. Thanks for the tip!

Great Fall inspiration, Leigh.

The truck photo is wonderful. We had a stock truck that looked like that. We sold it when we sold the farm, 6 years ago. It was 50 years old and still doing work on the farm.

I'm going to be in Michigan this October, so I'm looking forward to carving some pumpkins - which reminds me! I should pack my pumpkin carving tools :)

I think I like the idea of using power tools and vegetables - tee hee!

That is one cool truck!! Love it. Love driving trucks too. Back in the day, I used to take my BIL's truck to work when I worked in the burbs, when he was working on my car. What a hoot, driving up to the office in my business~like suit and heels!!

I certainly need help with the furniture placement business but I have problems that can't be solved. How about a 3 walled living room, 2 of them completely taken up with windows and a monster fireplace. And the room is too small to pull the furniture away from the walls. Gave up. It's all in it's best place. But I'll check out the site.

I am announcing the winner of the Ugly Rooster giveaway tomorrow and then Marty's cloche party is Friday which I am linking with Pink Saturday (OMG, there has to be 400 bloggers combined). So, you see, I spread myself thin. Next week I will join you and maybe Tam, my 2 other favorite events!!! My goodness! It sounds like a real social life. And for me, it is!! lol!

Have a perfect week, my friend!!

xoxo

I just LOVE Fall! It still is quite warm here, so it's hard to get in the Fall mood, but I am sure it'll be soon for me!

I haven't been to Cullman in a while. Long overdue visit. You sound like me. I'm always spotting those photo ops and saying, "Stop the car."

This is my first visit to your blog, love the title and palm trees are my favorite, so I had to stop and read. I'm clicking the follow button as I think I'm going to like what you have to say.

Love the white pumpkin with black accents very stylish.
I'm getting my fix of Fall decorating by visiting other blogs, it's not something we go in for in such a big way over here in France.
If you have the time pop over to Normandy and help me out with my photocard project. There's a giveaway involved too!
a bientot

Fabulous truck and the picture is beautiful. Are you going to frame it. It would be wonderful. My daughter and I are constantly exclaiming about things that would be cool to photograph while we are out and about.
