It's Wednesday! As in Outdoor Wednesday, hosted by my friend, Susan of Southern Daydreamer. Be sure to check out all the participants.
A couple weekends ago Big Daddy and I took Sister Sledge and J Smooth, along with two of our shittsu's to a nearby creek for some summer fun.
There is no better way to cool off in the summer time than in a cold-very cold-creek.
The kids and dogs both enjoyed getting wet and cooling off that way.
We saw crawdad's...and lots of bunnies.
We ended our day with another good way to beat the heat, shaved ice!
Hope you are enjoying your summer and are finding ways to beat the heat!
What "cool" things have you been doing?
See you back here tomorrow for Thrifty Thursday. The link will be up on Wednesday evening.
Thanks, Friend! I appreciate you dropping by Bloggeritaville.
Be sure to "leave me a roadmap" (comment) to your blog!

Gorgeous photos Leigh. We would go to Mahan Creek when I was a little girl to wade and swim. Sweet memories!
This is my first outdoor wednesday.
Thanks for introducing your lovely family.
Have a wonderful day!
Darlene
The area is beautiful and it looks so refreshing. What a perfect day!
Leigh, what great photos! Great way to cool off and enjoy nature. Reminded me of my childhood, when played in the creeks around Russian River during our summers here in CA.
Thanks for sharing!
Tina
Looks like a great time...and cool
Leigh, I absolutely love your blog. Honey I signed up to follow as I have to come back and read more. It is so peaceful and calming. That creek is a place I could go for, as the heat here in Phoenix, has been sooooo hot. Please stop by and say hi. I would love for you to sign up and follow my blog as well. Thanks for sharing. Country Hugs, Sherry
I'm in awe of your ability to get a shot of that bunny & how cute is that wet doggy? Happy Outdoor Wednesday!
What a fun post. Looks like a lot of fun-- great way to escape the heat.
What a cool picture of the bunny.
Can't wait to show my free redo desk tomorrow. Unil then, Ally
Leigh, I remember summer days like that with my mother. I always loved to wade in creeks. Did you find any little muscles? This makes me want to go home and relive this memory with my little cousins.
Happy Outdoor Wednesday...
XO,
Sheila... who is traveling tomorrow but will check in later to see your goodies! :-)
Sounds like a fun day. Your children will remember times like that.

I prefer creeks and rivers edges to the lake or ocean side every time.
Looks like such a nice family day.
What a lovely outdoor!

This looks so cool and refreshing, Leigh. And it looks like the kids and pups are having a great time. You guys are always doing fun things as a family and I admire that.
I am tring to drum up ideas for TT...I still haven't visited all the paticipants in Tuesdays events!! Then there is the blogroll...
Fun, but time consuming. The weeds in my garden are calling, "Blondie...come catch us if you can!"
xoxo

What a fun place to cool off and it sure looks like the family is enjoying it. I bet there were lots of neat little things to discover in and around the water.
