Outdoor Wednesday-Plus a Reminder!

It's Wednesday! As in Outdoor Wednesday, hosted by my friend, Susan of Southern Daydreamer.

I had a fun day yesterday. I met up with my girlfriends for lunch. I could kick myself for not bringing my camera. Highly unusual for me not to have my camera, for me it's a bit of an appendage. For whatever reason I left it at home. I missed some great photo opportunities. Don't you hate it when that happens?
After lunch I attended my children's swim meet. Sister Sledge and J Smooth were both competing. And so, my Outdoor Wednesday consist of shots from the meet.

Here are my children, J Smooth and Sister Sledge killing time with friends.

Here Big Daddy congratulates J Smooth on his swim.

I saw Sister Sledge's friend reading a book to pass time until her meet. I asked her to oblige me by holding her book up for this shot.

What a fun day! The highlight was running into several old friends from high school, who were competing against our swim team. This was just one of our old friends, Greg C., that we ran into.

Fun times! And a beautiful end to a beautiful day! Life is good.

Happy Outdoor Wednesday! To visit more Outdoor Wednesday participants visit Susan.

Be sure and join me back here this evening and link up to Thrifty Thursday!

I hate when I forget my camera. That's when all the best photo ops come up.

Sounds like you had a full and fun day!! You children are beautiful, I trust they had a good time at the swim meet. I just love a good day like that.

About the camera thing.... I found myself wishing this week for an extra one I could keep in the car. You know, just in case, lol.

I am so with you on hatting to miss a photo opportunity.
Love the swim meet photos. I was on the swim team growing up and just loved it. I love the photo with the little gal and the book with the eye, it made me giggle.
Hope you have a great OW!

Love, love, love the shot with the book! Great eye and I'm talking about yours, not the one on the cover.

Read your profile post and enjoyed getting to know more about you. Trust me, you will live at the beach one day. I've always said that those who are so drawn to the shore will end up there one day, it's inevitable. Very seldom in my life have a live more than thirty minutes away, but most of my life has been much closer. Now, it is about a three-minute drive and that works for me during hurricane season!

I don't like it when I forget my camera either. Usually there are alot of great shots I miss. You did not miss some great one of you children. They are both very cute. I hope they both won.
Thanks for sharing!

Oh your kids are so cute! Love the pictures of kids -- I live vicariously, as mine are old and used, lol.

I sometimes remember my camera, but don't have nerve enough to pull it out and use it.

Great outdoors!
Cass
