I have to tell you, I am enjoying my time outdoors this week, as I am on vacation at the beach with my family. I captured this sunset yesterday. I love watching the sunset. Often times I try and catch it daily, for it changes with each day. Its a major stage show and every night it is a different event, touching each and every one that truly can appreciate and take it in.
I couldn't help but think of this poem...
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay. Robert Frost.
I love it.
God is Great, isn't he? He blesses us daily and richly with his work that can be seen all around us in nature, if we will just stop. BE STILL. And observe.
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.

I love it.

Happy Outdoor Wednesday!
Nothing Gold Can Stay - that's the line I remember most from "The Outsiders."
I took a photo of the sunset last night, too. I rarely take sunset photos, so it's interesting that you mention it today, of all days!
Have fun at the beach!
Enjoy your vacation!! Beautiful picture....
Sunsets and sunrises (which I hardly ever get to see) are just pure beauty and do evoke certain sentiments and feeling. I am so grateful that my outdoor space (porch) faces west..., and I can watch the sun go down behind the ocean inlet, and each day it's different! Enjoy you vacation!
beautiful sunset!!!
Happy outdoor Wednesday. I have never left a comment on your blog before. For outdoor Wednesday I took my kids to the Farmers Market. We enjoyed looking at all the beautiful colored fruit.
I love the sunset picture. There is just something about sunset, I love them. Have a great time at the beach.
Beautiful sunset, Leigh. And the poem is so true. I just sigh in contentment when I see the sun go down or come up.
