Home of Sweetness

Today is my friend Diva's 38th birthday! We celebrated last week with a surprise party hosted by Sweetness. Diva had no inkling that we were onto a party. Her face was priceless when she realized what we were up to.
We had great food: baked spaghetti (prepared by the amazing Kay of Home Plate Cooking) as well as wonderful homemade side dishes that each of us brought to the party to share (look for recipes on Foodie Friday later this week).

Sweetness has a way with decorating. My pictures below will not do her home justice. I was being sneaky by photographing things, but would love to really go back in her home and give it proper justice through photos so that her home , you will see, portrays the amazing family that resides in it, the amazing woman that Sweetness is. And did I mention that she is an amazing floral arranger too. Really, there isn't anything she cannot do.

So, allow me to take you in on a tour of the home of Sweetness.

The Kitchen and Keeping Room:

Dining and Entry:

The Den:

The black piece below was Sweetness Mother's Day present. It came from Showhouse Furniture in Helena.

Three of the Bedrooms:

Bath:
I love the color of green in this bath...and I also love this framed artwork by Sweetness son, framed in a gorgeous frame.

Outdoors Rooms:

And finally, I love this simple organization in her laundry room ....basket and luggage tags,

Before I go, I wanted to wish my friend, Diva a very happy birthday! I love you!

I am glad you enjoyed it Mari! Thanks for the bday wishes to my friend Diva!

Hi Ally! I think that is such a great idea to incorporate childrens artwork into your home decor. Not only is it preserved memories & priceless artwork, it makes the artist feel special. I have done that with dollar tree frames and unused frames and rotate artwork. I will bet yours is precious with that ribbon. Great idea!

Good morning, my friend Sheila! I gave you a shout out on my thrifty thursday last week rooster bowls.
Thanks, and yes-neat as a pin, unluttered and clean. Its what I stive for in my home but rarely achieve.
