Its origin dates back to 1934 when it was founded in Tennessee by Millard Buchhmann. The original name was to have been “All Steak Hamburgers,” but when the sign was made, Millard did not have the money to add the word “Hamburgers” to it. In 1938, he moved the business to Cullman. Since then, the restaurant has changed owners and locations a few more time, landing in 1998 at the top of the Cullman Savings Bank building. Over the years, however, the sign, the service and the food have remained the same. People from far and near enjoy the prime ribs, seafood and other culinary delights, but it’s their signature orange rolls that keep them coming back.
Good food, reasonable prices, great service. There's a good variety of food so it's great for a group. Everyone should be able to find something to eat. One of my family members claims "this place has one of the best NY Strips". My husband LOVES the prime rib (weekends only) but I prefer to put all my love towards the rolls. It's love in a small carbenlanted package. Yes. Made up words for these special rolls. What more could you want?
The menu had lots of dishes to choose from, aside from beef and home cooked southern flavor dishes, check out the fish dishes: Snapper Destin, Coconute Fried Shrimp, Seafood Thermidor, Burned Snapper w/beurre sauce, Hand Made Crab Cakes,Raspberry Balsalmic Salmon, Whole Flounder... Gosh, how many choices of fish could there be at All Steak Restaurant?
How? Does it matter? All I can vouch for is it's sooooooo goooood!

I'm so glad that there was something there for you to eat - from the name, I was unsure!
Those rolls look really good -- I can't eat bread, but I've found that I really enjoy the smell of it. That's almost as satisfying lol
I'm needin' a bedtime snack right about now - sure wish I had a Hand Made Crab Cake! Yum!
I'm always all-in for food pix!!!
And you were only 20 minutes from me, the way the crow flies. Ha Ha
All Steak is a landmark.

Hi Leigh,
Thanks for visiting my blog!
That sounds like a restaurant I would love.
The rolls...what are they like? I can't tell from the pic, but they are fascinating!
Enjoy the day!

Man now i am starving!
Mouth watering, moaning like a starving woman over those orange rolls. I LOVE All Steak! One of my favorite restaurants... that I NEVER get to go to. You lucky woman. I wish Bryan and I had made the trek before we moved.
One of my all time favorites!!! Especially when I was pregnant with my Mary Margaret. We might just have to revisit those orange rolls this weekend!;)
P.S. Thanks for voting for my Harper Jane and for linking to us;) You are the BEST!!!
Yummy! Nothing like southern cooking - well, I guess eating is better, huh?
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
oh my ,does that look good.i'll see you tomorrow...Ann
I can't figure out what those rolls are made up with? Orange, maybe? Does not matter as I am sure I would eat them faster then a tick can land on a dog:) When it comes to eating any type of bread I am a happy camper. I have to remember this place next time I am in the area.

You are making me so hungry with pictures like that and that beach on your header is the one I am always telling my husband I want to spend some time on. Thanks for the encouragement. I wasn't going to give up blogging completely was just considering that particular one. But have changed my mind due to you awesome ladies. I love blogging and love life and just didn't want to spin wheels needlessly. I look forward to stopping by your blog often.
Blessings
Debbie
