Lunch with Ladies

I had a wonderful lunch on Monday with Sandie of Whistlestop Cafe Cooking and Rhoda of Rhoda's Southern Hospitality. We met at Nabeel's Cafe in Homewood. Nabeels is one of my favorite cafe's. Nabeel's features Mediterranean cuisine. I highly recommend! (More on Nabeels in a later post).

We had a delightful lunch. It is always great to meet other bloggers and compare notes. Rhoda shared some great information on several blogging topics.
After lunch, we drive into Homewood and hit the shops. We visited my favorite, "At Home" and Harmony Landing. We also shopped in one store that I was not familiar- Royal Standard. I will say- I will go back! Great prices in this store with a variety of merchandise, from linens and Christmas decor to furniture and artwork. I purchased a few things, that I would love to share, but am giving as gifts. Royal Standard was having a phenomenal sale on Christmas decor, with ornaments as little as 50 cents each (polka dots! and glitter!). This store is certainly added to my list of favorites.
I want to thank Sandie and Rhoda for a fun afternoon of lunch and shopping. Thank you to Sandie for the sweet buttered rum sauce that she gave to me. Sandie is a fantastic cook, as you will see by reading her blog. I can attest that the sauce is wonderful! (Hiccup). Thanks, Ladies!

Next time look me up at the school!!! I can be found in the Health Room rolling my eyes at some hypochondriac!!

Thanks for the tip on Royal Standard, I went today for the first time and snagged some of those adorable polka dot ornaments for last minute gifts and grabbed an adorable Santa cake stand for 7 bucks for an upcoming dirty Santa party!!!! They will definately be added to my list of spots to stop when I'm in Homewood!
