Peak Week?

I didn't think to ask my friend, Brian Peters, when I saw him at the polls, if this is the peak week for fall foliage in these parts of the south. But if I was a betting girl, I'd say it was.
I have been just driving about town, admiring the jaw dropping show.....

This particular Tree looked ablaze.
The light was shining down on it and made it GLOW as if it was on fire.

With the temperatures this week in the mid seventies, it has the ladybugs in dither. They were swarming all round the outside of the house. And, did you notice, this one is getting into the act too, of that fall color.
Don't take it for granted, those colors in the trees. The show will be over before you know it and the cold weather will be moving in.
Happy Fall Ya'll!

There's a beautiful maple tree in our n'hood that is flaming red right now and I almost stopped and took a photo of it this morning. I just might have to tomorrow.

That second tree is gorgeous! I have been wanting to take pictures of the trees on my drive to work. You're right- the show will be over soon and it is such a beautiful show!

I have seen NOTHING down here that looks like that. Fall shuffles in like a self concious teenager here in Daphne. Pluh! We are heading north this weekend though to spend some time with the grandparents! YAY! I am ready to see them and ready to see REAL FALL!

Oh, and have I said ROLL TIDE yet?

Wow, it's SO beautiful where you live! And 70's? Man, it's just grey and soggy here right now - and for the next 5 months! Blech!

I miss Fall. It was my favorite time of year in Michigan. Florida just doesn't get the color change like most other states. I love the pictures you took - just gorgeous!
